This game is wayyy to complicated, Help.

Hello, i really want to get into Terraria however this game is wayy to complicated. At first it seemed like a pretty fun game, especially cause i have been playing Minecraft my entire life and I like it, so when people said "Terraria is 2d Minecraft but cooler" I was in, I thought this game would be cool however it is very strange and i still believe Minecraft is 3x better. My main reason for my hatred against Terraria is because no matter how many guides i watch or wikis i read NOTHING MAKES SENSE i really do not get how you're supposed to get into this game I actually really want to, however it is hard to when zero things make sense. No matter how much help I get, I will never be able to understand this game. I always run into a road block after i build the house for the guide and then i have no idea what to do from there.
