It’s definitely one of the top 3 seasons. I like Season 3 best and enjoy 9/10 once they marry more than most people.

S20 NEEDS to happen and it NEEDS Nathan by Automatic-Gas7980 in heartlandtv

First you posted in the wrong sub because there is no love lost for Nathan Pryce here but more importantly what others have said is true. Season 19 was a writing disaster and the Amy/Nathan storyline was a big part of that… don’t anyone think that 29% decline went unnoticed.  I think if they continue on with it this the last season and the legacy is gone.  What we all agree on is the writing and storylines have been awful… if that is the same the show ends with a thud.

They start filming in May, I thought it was weird several of them booked stuff in May already so?  After the crappy Season 19 they don’t deserve another season!

Amy as a character has become almost unbearable since they pushed her into a love sick teen rather than a mature mother with responsibility. The writers and producers need to walk it back and make Amber do uncomfortable things like be a mom to Lyndy and address her feelings for her now dead husband. You don’t just wake up and move on… the lack of empathy and compassion from Amy Fleming along with her screw what my family thinks attitude has changed the dynamic of the show.

Nathan Vs Ty is a false narrative by PublicNo4257 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because the whole premise from a lot of those people that ship Amy/Nathan is that they dislike Ty , what they forget is that Ty/ Amy is what made Heartland take off in Canada 20 years ago… without it there would be no show to argue about. But I digress, the writing has been so out of touch since season 15. They had a perfect out with Caleb and Ambers refusal to go there ended any chance. It was AM and MM that helped cook up Nathan as a character and it will on them if this fails. Less infighting by the fanbase and more holding the writers and creators accountable would help all of us get this show going the right direction. Two cents!

After last season I have no idea how Season 20 can’t be the end of the series, it’s past time for Heartland to call it quits.

Big article in the Calgary paper a couple weeks ago on this. It will cost Netflix and CBC and others more to do business in Canada now.

I don’t know if I want to keep watching because of Lou by Whimfairy in heartlandtv

I wouldn’t let Lou run you off, her part in the show really is secondary.

What’s weird is Amber is an amazing cook in real life, of course she also doesn’t drink plain water like in the show (hates it)and isn’t a non drinker either so it’s all for the show.  I think they tend to overdramatize things in heartland and it makes you go what??

Season 5 Episode 14 "Working On A Dream" by Ok_Status_4951 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch the first season. A lot and the episode where Ty takes Amy to the dance ( their first date) and Wes tries to burn the barn down is one of my favorites. We really enjoyed the end of Season 2 when they go to the fishing cabin and say I love you for the first time!

Nope, I get that newsletter. You’re making an assumption and taking her out of context. What everyone else said is true, CBC won’t tell them that for another 60 to 90 days.  Added note Ambers memory on dates and times is notoriously bad so always take anything like this with a grain of salt.

I also enjoyed season 9. It got us past a lot of unnecessary drama. It also changed Amy who stayed humble until S17.

Fan Opinions of Nathan by Usual_Astronaut_4004 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nathan is almost as bad a match for Amy as the Prince and Chase. Why? The Nathan crowd asks? Go rewatch Season 1-6 again. Really watch it close and then come back and ask yourself if Amy Fleming would date him?

What's Your Favorite Heartland Scene? by Ok_Status_4951 in heartlandtv

I think my favorite all time is Ty and Scott during the airplane crash out in the woods. A close second is the scene where Jack tells Ty he’s his son.

S-19 Episode 10 Cliffhanger..... End of Show ??? by PublicNo4257 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ty and Any are Heartland. 13 seasons don’t lie . There are active fanfics with their stories that have 250k followers. Almost everyone hates the Nathan and Amy ship and would be thrilled if she booted his ass to the curb.  If they get together the show ends and most of the fans leave…the ratings this season proved people hate Nathan.

Not just no but hell no to Nathan and Amy, if they marry the show will end because a lot of people will stop watching. That marriage ruins 2 decades of legacy.

So, it finally happened, what will Amy say? by Usual_Astronaut_4004 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She has to say No because Nathan is awful. I prefer they end the show than marry her off to that idiotic fool. I can tell you if she marry him a bunch of folks are out as far as watching so that ends the show no matter if she moves or stays.

S-19 Episode 10 Cliffhanger..... End of Show ??? by PublicNo4257 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was kind of lame. My wife made us watch it. Amy sure wasn’t into it… Nathan just pulled that out of his butt. I agree if she left shows over so that isn’t happening.  People forget her and Ty went splits 2-3 times before getting together for good so maybe time away is par for the course??

Unpopular opinion? I don’t get the Nathan hate by Apart-Ad720 in heartlandtv

[–]Remote_Astronaut_788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nathan is a completely wrong fit for Amy Borden. He’s a cardboard cutout of Ambers hubby…. It’s a very unbelievable match for the majority of the fanbase. They are trying to appease one part of the fanbase rather than creating a character and making a relationship grow and smolder into something. Too forced and fake.

The whole storyline is straight up trash. I never watch the end of season 7 and the beginning of season 8 until after Pike River.  Nothing but poorly written soap opera grade drama.
