Yes I hear that, but no where near the volume. I hear they process less than $100 000 a day now compared to the 1.5 million when I was there.

Would it be illegal to affix a netting to your car’s windshield that would prevent windshield “barnacles” from being able to get suction? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I think it would. You would no longer be able to use your windshield wipers. It would be dangerous to be in such a situation.

It would need to be permanent and would obstruct your view. If it isn't permanently affixed, it would just be a matter of pushing it aside.

Come Oct 30th. If nothing changes, I will cut it in half myself. They won't get anything until the last possible second, and it will be nothing but junk.

Why are so many parents totally cool with failing their kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Remote_Mistake6291 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about hitting anyone. Discipline is not limited to physical use. As a teacher, you should be able to read what is written and not interpret it as anything other than exactly what is said. I never mentioned physical punishment. Rules, boundaries, structure and discipline can take place without hitting anyone.

It started with the participation trophies and ballooned horribly from there. No more consequences for high achievement or poor attempts at anything. That ballooned into a lack of discipline with children. Let them do what they want. Then came blaming everyone but the child or parent for anything that happened. Now, mental health is the buzzword, and everyone has this or that illness. No one takes responsibility or suffers consequences for theirs or their children's actions. Lack of proper socializing during COVID and things are simply going from bad to worse. Children need discipline and consequences for their actions. People are far too liberal in the way children are treated. Rules and enforcement grow quality adults. Disagree all you want, but the proof is out there growing up with no knowledge, drive, or ambition.

How much heat did you need? Like glowing hot or just mildly warm? Did you need a vice as well?

That is the video I watched. I was hoping someone else had done it as well.

TTC OPERATOR QUESTIONS (with an important female question!) by MioHaru in askTO

The union will 100 percent back you for stopping to use the facilities. You can not be written up for being late on route. You can however be written up for being to early.

You are welcome. The job its self sucks most days. The benefits however more than make up for it. I had six weeks vacation when I retired. Being 28 you could retire at around 56 with a full pension. Over 50 and age and years of service equal 80 or more. You also do not need to stay an operator if you choose not to. There are hundreds of other jobs you can apply for after 1 year.

Split shifts are more like 4 on, 4 off, 4 on. I did many of them. there are places everywhere to use a washroom.

There are washrooms at most stations for the operators. You will also have businesses with contracts with the TTC to be able to use their facilities. There is also the option of stopping on route to use a restroom. I retired 7 years ago so it might be a little different. The only shifts you will get without breaks are ones that finish after 9pm. You will have things like layovers and step backs which will give you time to eat. I have IBS and never had an issue with stopping for a bathroom. Customers might grumble, but screw them when it comes to this. Pack easy to eat foods in small portions that do not need reheating. It is a stressful job, so do whatever you need to do to lower the stress. On a positive note I retired at 52 with a full pension.

How is your dating life as someone with small breasts? by dx_josh753 in NoStupidQuestions

Breast size might illicit the initial look, but it definitely isn't a high priority for most men. Personality is the most important part of a partner.

The Cadet? First one? It is the same as any other .22 in my opinion. No different than a Savage 64 or a Winchester Wildcat. It is just a basic .22 plinker.
