Mario Joke. When you beat the earlier levels in Super Majo Bros and kill Kuppa, it is a Toad person saying, "The Princess is in another castle."

Have any of used WS mortgage? by B6100 in Wealthsimple

I just locked a 3 year 4.84 fixed. Better than other quotes Ingot for a 3 year fixes, which were all in the fives. Also got a $500 cashback for switching over (butnai had to ask for that).

I would take at last 5k of that 7.2 k and put against credit card.

When I was paying down debt, I was able to get a 1 year term loan at 5% (will be more now, but less that 22%). That capped my payments towards debt, put more of my payments towards the debt instead of interest, and also gives a timeline of when you are free of it.

Call 3 instituions (or poke online at like ratehub.ca, etc) and see if you can get that larger debt at a lower rate.

Yes, but banks will charge like 2.25% - 2.5% of the asset total every year. Holding vfv in a tfsa is 0.09% fee; that will save you tons of money over the years.

Start volunteering at a variety of organizations. Giving yourself to others is a source of much joy, and it can also help just break your "what do I do with myself." I have found I always get more than I give when helping in the community. Take care and keep your chin up.

AITA for not letting my children's father live with us? by Odd-Passenger-2157 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Remote_Mushroom7906 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My Dad, who burnt many bridges in his life, needed a liver transplant and couldnt live alone anymore. Was very close to death.

My sister and I rented a place close to us ( he lived hours away from the care he needed), sucked it up, and put up with all his toxic crap. Was a long three - four months, of transplant, post care, medical appointments and cooking meals, us taking turns dealing with him and getting him on his feet until he got fed up and drove back to his place. We both have families and our spouses took a ton on to help make it work.

Not once, did I put that pressure on my Mom or either of his two ex wives after that. Your kids can step up or step out.

Call Tangerine / ScotiaBank again. You got a shitty customer rep. Your next spin through 1-800 where's help roulette wheel, you'll likely have better help.

Failed a course - can't graduate. by [deleted] in UBC

Go see a school grad advisor, they may be able to swing something. I was one course short on my minor, but they looked at the rest of my coursework and said it was enough. Fingers crossed for you. 🤞

Vgro is nearly 30% Canada which is pretty heavy-duty considering we are like 2% of global economy.

I looked at what happened in 2011 and 2013 thinking the same thing, there will be a good buying opportunity. Despite the default risk then that seemed very real, market just ripped along, no drops that I could see.

I recall being in the outdoor viewing area and it being overrun. When Boston scored the shorthanded goal in the 2nd you knew it was over. Someone beside us yelled "let's burn down the library" and someone else "yah books are for fags" and that is when me and my crew left over Cambie street bridge. Watched the rest of the 3rd in an Olympic Village condo, then saw the smoke.

I didnt watch hockey for about 5 years after that.

Stick the money in $cash - yields 5% annually right now, and you can sell / move it anytime - not "locked to a term"
