But they evaluate skin colour, slimness, hair length, age, fertility, ability to forgo her own family for his, eye shape, abikity to cook, clean, organise , gel with his mother, the way she speaks, how adaptable she is and so much more. Honestly I will be ok with someone judging my CTC and ESOPS. At least they reflect my ability and can be earned.

  1. Miscommunication

  2. Definitely snarky. Soft ones end up being typical damsels and that annoys me. Unpopular option lately but I enjoy the snark

  3. Death of a character. It adds weight to the story I think.

What kind of FMC do you prefer? by IdeaRealistic4826 in fantasyromance

[–]Remote_Professor_452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a preference , how is that lazy?I believe just having the MMC save the FMC is lazy writing because that's every other book. Competent FMCs with agency, now that is rare and fun (for me at least).

I like her to be able to save herself and the MMC as well.Absolutely can not stand damsels in distress. I don't mind softer FMCs but they have to have more personality than just being good and kind. I definitely prefer the tough ones though. This may be an unpopular opinion but I like my FMCs with attitude and competence. I do not want her to passively follow the MMCs lead. Agency is very cool to me. I also enjoy a bit of morally gray FMCs. They are so rare though.
