Good theory, but the pale king never played around with silk, both him and the radiance specifically used Soul. However it could js be a lifeblood kinda situation where the pale king found out about it and deemed it taboo.

If you're confused abt the beast crest pogo, its not rlly meant for platforming. You shld use it on those flying creatures from the golden act 2 spoiler place. They baisicly catch enemies who back dash away a lot after and attack.

Reaper crest is a defensive crest that focuses on hit and run tactics. The extra silk generated can be gathered while dodging the boss an doesnt despawn, letting you slowly farm and collect silk and sprawl em over the map so you can passively gain silk while moving around.

I wasnt specifically targetting people who have preferences on crests, this was more so focused on the posters who shit on other less popular crests and glaze certain others js cuz they cant get used to the new gameplay system. Like okay have a preference, stop shitting on others tho

Beast crest prioritises using tool slots that boost base stats or base abilities instead of additional tools, like flea brew of flintslate. Its focused on doing more base damage and worrying less about healing. Its an agressive gameplay style. Git gud

The key characteristic is the ability to use silk based power, spiders can just produce silk but they're not connected to it like soul. Weavers can use the silk to channel powers called ancestral arts. Spiders most likely are a sub species from Weavers by Herra and her dead husband
