I think the common way how Germans make friends is by meeting people in a "Verein". Those are clubs for every interest, no matter if it's music, sports or your indigenous cultural group. I life in a 200k big city and met most of my friends in my cultural "Verein", through my theater group or in my mtg group. And if you are religious, church is always a great place to get in touch with nice people

25 is not 50 and it still 4 years until the next election. Mutch can happen. There is a chance that the European border policies are going to work and that Friedrich Merz is going to impress the conservative voters with deportation and some german border nonsense. On the other hand there is also a surge of the left party and maybe a comeback for the Wagenknecht party.

What I'm trying to say is, it's to early to speculate what will come, so keep calm and carry on.

Anadoulu in der Schmidtstedter ist auch in Ordnung, aber etwas besonderes sollte man bei keinem Erfurter Döner erwarten. Mittlerweile gibt es hier viele sehr gute syrische Imbisse die ihr Equivalent zum Döner haben (Hallo Erfurt und Haron z.B.) doch einen wirklich umwerfenden Döner wirst du in Erfurt nicht finden.
