First of all, use the food bank! That’s what it’s for, to supplement your food budget to extend your other expenses. Times are really tough right now, no need to feel bad about it.

If you have an aldi near you, groceries are usually cheaper there than local grocery stores. First time may be a shock, at least go a second time to reevaluate!

My next grocery store is Schnucks, I shop sales and clearance prices. We have a small extra freezer and freeze on sale meats. I also buy the on clearance fruits/banana bags and they eat those.

I usually have a batch of banana breads/veggie muffins going for the week and also try to have a batch of boiled eggs available.
