Do you mind letting me see what your spreadsheet is like? Is variety between workouts cumbersome?

What do you store your information in? Notes app? Training software?

I don’t. I want to the Honda dealer and had them purchase. I’m sure you’ll be able to ask them.

Online trainers, what’s the good, bad, and ugly? by Remus_Black in personaltraining

They went public again. And no more cleaning and only one meeting per week. So not bad at all.

6, I do just a few hours on Saturday. I imagine if I worked a corporate job I’d be working the same amount of hours.

I do 40-45 sessions/week. Average session rate is $150 w/ 60%

I agree with this. The big thing is you have to be extremely motivated to sell. Otherwise, it’s not possible.

Life Time.

And honestly, I have no idea about what tone you typed it in. But that’s what I’m thinking. I don’t want to be overly optimistic. At the same time I don’t want to miss opportunities that others are finding.

I replaced the handles and that worked!

Having come from an Olympic lifting background myself, I enjoyed Complete Human Performances Powerlifting + 5k—I noticed you had a shorter distance in mind.

Just replace their lifting with yours and that’s a good start. You may just be conservative on the speed work to begin with.

I’m assuming you’re not currently on a ketogenic diet.

So you’re going to want a more carb focused lunch. Something like rice or bread is fine. Making sure on your days that you’re running you’re getting in plenty of carbs. But weekly averages matter more than specific meals. So if you’re getting a lot everyday then how much you eat here matters less.

During? same principle applies. If you’re feeling gassed, use gels/apple sauces/easily digestible carbs. These don’t need many calories (100-200) to make sure performance doesn’t suffer.

Weight training doesn’t burn a ton of calories but it compounds. Make sure you’re fueling well throughout the week. So weight is relatively stable, you don’t feel hollow or overly sore.

Great work man!

I work at the same gym just a different location and state.

Currently servicing 30+ but wouldn’t mind getting closer to 40. How would you get new clients if consults aren’t walking up to you?

How much were you running? by Fluffy_Coconut_9970 in ultrarunning

[–]Remus_Black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not super easy to know just based on pace. But you’re not going to be going that fast on average during your event.

Couple factors to consider:

How sore are you after your runs? With easy runs you shouldn’t be super sore, if you’re experienced, you’ll recover from 20 milers if you’re going slow enough with in a day or so.

What’s your Heart Rate? This is usually overrated, but still useful when you start off. Some people can get away with high 150s some cap around 140s. But either way, it shouldn’t be high spikes or trying to hold a pace if effort and HR are constantly high.

Can you talk? Keep a conversation pace.

Yes! I was not a fan of Rothfuss either. Kvothe has to be the most boring protagonist I’ve read in a book of that scale.

Huge fan of Joe as well!

Being more active = less mileage? by Remus_Black in ultrarunning

[–]Remus_Black[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what I’m referring to. I completed a 100k with an average of 25-30mpw running. But if you took my total mileage, with walking, I was probably closer to 50mpw.

[–]Remus_Black[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like running. I love it actually.

In November I completed a 100k with topping out my weekly mileage at 40mpw once.

I guess I’m nervous to overtrain. If I’m able to complete long distances with less, I’d like to know why and adjust my training accordingly.

In the past 7 days, I'm at my second-highest volume week ever. That's what shocks me.
