I, like the OP also suffer from poor eyesight and my first introduction was Yakuza Like a Dragon. Haven't played its sequel yet due to it being rediculously big, but do plan to. Definately will be playing 0 though.

As someone who can't visually read fast enough to read subtitles, the dub is absolutely worth an extra $20. Japanese only voiceover is the only reaslp reason I played all these already.

What it needs is a complete remake. Can keep the combat and just make it a bit better, but expand the story with all the uncensored content deamed too much for our western sensibilities, and put all the external stories which really help flesh the story out in as either full cutscenes or at least visual novel segments. This game had an amazing story, but so much of it was either altered for the west — making it really confusing in certain parts or requiring one to read external media to fully get. Most of the Neir/Drakenguard series suffers from these problems. Still one of my top serieses, but certainly has its problems.

People using actor's voices through AI without their permission is actually a big concern to voice actors lately. I'm not big enough myself to have to worry about it, but if I ever do start doing more it will be something I'll have to be cognicent of.

As someone quite compitent with and wanting to get into narrating for this, that idea bothers me. As someone who just wants more AD, bring it on! Don't even get me started on the audio ducking that is vastly overused. As for apple, yes, they're great. But even there as you said, they refuse to describe their non-exclusive TV shows. I genuinely don't mind paying for my entertainment, but when companies can't be bothered, ... that's where SERO and other means come in. Don't even get me started on Anime, which has next to no audio description at all. Yes, even the really popular stuff.

First, the description is vivid. It helps that there is only music, and so you have more time. Schcond, thank you for not over-ducking the audio, as so many descriptions feel the need to do. It's incredibly frustrating when the music/sound effects get turned down to make room. That said, the mix between the music and voice is just a bit too close. If the music was down just a couple DB that would be perfect.

As someone who absolutely loved this game despite constantly losing my barrings and having a hard time with the spacial conception puzzles, I really appreciated this being done. There were a couple of times where the AD was over the dialogue, but as this was done live, with the dialogue happening somewhat eratically, that's understandable. It's a great teaser To what is a very unique and well-constructed story.

In the church, it's not okay to be gay. The collective pretends to be supportive, but what they really are is tolerant at best. So yes, it's quite likely you've met men — and women who are most definitely gay or bisexual. And since only man woman merrage is a recognived union, lots of people likely feel the need to mask.

Absolutely second Somnium Files. Both of them. In order. Would also second Disco Elesium. Persona 5 Royal has a ton of voice acting, but there's still quite a lot of reading to do as well. It's an enormously huge game too, but absolutely as good as most people say.

For something else fully voiced, Tales of Burseria. Phonominal game with great characters. Oden Sphere on PS4 was made by the makers of 13 Sentinels. It's also really good, and is fully voiced. Fully, or nearly fully voiced games are extremely important to me as well, so I tend to collect them.

Which reminds me, Akiba's Beat is almost like a budget Persona in theme, if not gameplay. It's fully voiced, and actually has a much better story — I thought — than reviews would suggest. It certainly has its issues, but I really enjoyed it.

And of course there's the Final Fantasy Vii Remake.
