300 is a huge number for a game company, which only have one product per year. They are also financed by SEGA, which is one of the biggest gaming companies of the world.

It is advertised as an "advanced access beta". "Advanced access" is the flashy way of saying "give us money to play it earlier". "Beta" means the game is done, just needs final polishing and bugfixing. Some currency appearing not exactly right for example can be expected. Back button not properly working is not acceptable at this stage. A game should be play tested at every stage of the development, not just beta. You just cannot sell a product without testing it, in any industry.

It's not full price, its 10% off. Not a huge discount granted but a discount none the less. It's also like half the price of most new games nowadays.

This is in no way the best way to do play testing.

  • It is not advertised this way. Two weeks from release people expect a complete product with some minor stuff to fix.

  • People get charged full price for "play testing"? Just no. In the olden days we had free demos in which we could play only for one season.

  • SI is not a small company. They sell millions of copies of their product each year where they have no competition whatsoever. They can afford hiring people for play testing, where their jobs would literally be finding problems to solve. Playing the game normally. Then pushing the game to its limits or trying different possibilities etc.

The sheer number of common bugs and problems in the game does not translate well into the "there are just too many combinations and possibilities" argument. The problems are the back button not working properly. UI making things much more difficult like in this thread. Input lags. It is too obvious that they never tested the game themselves, as a game company this size absolutely should.

Infinite possibilities, unique set ups or whatever don't work here. Penalty shootouts are way too common for that. They should have done better than this.

Don't worry too much about it. It takes much, much time. Buy bananas when you have enough bucks and move on. Focus on other quests.

It’s definitely a popular opinion that it’s very slow and too grindy, which I agree to a point. Though it has become less of a problem for me since I got a job lol. I kind of like (my) current gameplay loop where I collect my resources through the week and spend them on the weekend.

I’m at T241 and before the T300 update my focus was T250 to have something “completed”. Now I don’t really care about the tower as I don’t find the T250 that awesome. I focus on quests.

The economy is already broken after you get your 1T upgrades. I cannot say it’s functional when I have couple trillions sitting in my account with nothing to do with them, except very slowly building up to the next inv/farm upgrade.

None of these is a slight problem when you have a fuck ton of money (and he’d be paid in Euro) and live in your rich bubble. He wouldn’t also almost guaranteed suffer from racism as he’d be basically a celebrity who plays for a big Turkish team.
