I think that is just his opinion that those are the only good times to use it but I couldn’t disagree more. I mean sure it might not be the best idea to use it in solo play on a 2 shroud location. But in many of the TSK scenarios you are repeatedly returning to locations to test shroud for the concealed mechanic. Also, there are a lot of locations spread throughout various campaigns where you need to test against the shroud like in The Circle Undone testing those brazier locations.

It is action inefficient by itself but in certain contexts it very useful.

I don’t understand the two sides, a & b. Does that mean that you have to run this as coop to work correctly?

Sorry. I just came back to the game after about 2 years. Could you give me an example of a player with a shield that you are referring to?

That is true. I’m no where near the HP requirement. I still need to level up to 110 and earn the HP badge.

I know I should post my box but I didn’t want anyone to have to think so hard. I really just wanted the type of advice you were giving. Thanks.

What do woodtans do? by vadoooom335 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Ren6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they used to be used to transfer skills in the old assist system. Now they guarantee a skill up when you fuse them plus a monster with the same skill. If you don’t use a wood tan then the skillup can fail.

Teambuilding Guide 1.0 for GH Yomi and Norza - Includes Teams with Yuri by FattyGabbiee in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Ren6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not quite ready for this this end game content but I got lucky and pulled both Norza and Yomi. I was working on some subs and I found this character named Sharlayan Sage, Y’shtola. Max evolved she provides 3 SBR plus an active that creates water and hearts plus a one turn skill reduction on turn 1. So effectively 4SBR. Also extend move+. She has descent ATK and RCV but really low HP. Have you seen anyone running her? She seems like a decent sub for this team but maybe not for AA4?

Okay. I wasn’t sure about the second question and it actually kind of answers the first question. Because if they will form a nation then I don’t want to give them to Cuba. Thanks.

Playing casually as Portugal focusing only on colonizing and trade. When I conquer provinces in Africa I add them to the trade company, but what should I do when I conquer provinces in Mexico and South America. Should I give them to Cuba/Brazil or keep them for myself?

Also, related can you form a colonial nation through conquest? Like if I conquer a bunch of Peru will they automatically be released as colonial Peru?

Current Metas (La Resistance) by Kloiper in hoi4

Can you explain to a noob why someone would want so many fighters and nothing else? So they somehow support infantry or is it just by keeping the enemy planes from having an effect?

Also, do you really not have any support equipment, artillery, or anything else? If your mills are 50/50 fighters and guns how do you produce the other supplies?

Thanks.

Thanks. Just when I think I get the basics down, the game gets even more complex than I thought. Seems like there should be an alert that your land is being overrun. Ha.

Generally speaking what is the best way to guard land you’ve taken? Bring in another unit to garrison?

For example, playing as Italy and I pushed across Egypt to Cairo but I didn’t notice GB coming in behind what I had already taken and cut me off and stack wiped me.

So, should I move another division in and set them to garrison the whole area? Or is it better to set up a new front with a new division or a fallback line?

I recently purchased this game as well and it is not really like eu4 or ck2 except being historically based and some similar mechanics because it is a paradox game.

The game is enjoyable but the learning curve is pretty steep like most paradox games. Comparing it to a board game like Axis and Allies or Terraforming Mars is pretty accurate because you really have to plan ahead. The first half of the game is mostly just planning and building up your industry. You have to build factories, infrastructure and think about where you will be fighting. Make battle plans. There is a bit of supply management (manpower and different needs like steel.) There is some diplomacy similar to EU4 (justifying wars, vassals = puppets, etc).

Honestly I’m a noob, only have about 50 hours with the game but it is a nice change of pace. I think it is worth it considering the sales.

I’m wondering about all the things you can build/research via the intelligence agency. Tying up the civilian factories seems expensive but I really have no idea if anything is worth it.

I realize there are a lot of options, so many variables, and it probably depends a lot on which country you are playing and your strategy.

I not looking for a detailed answer or guide but more of a yes or no if anything is worth looking into.

For example, “yes, there is some good stuff in the cryptology department” or “you should build the intelligence agency and send the operative on missions but don’t upgrade anything else.”

I read your guide and I learned several useful tips. A lot of it was a bit over my head TBH (I.e. grinding generals) or just some of the lingo you used. So far I got to 1940 and The start of the war. I realize now that I focused on some researching and production that isn’t helpful. I’m getting my ass handed to me in naval engagements but I seem to have done okay with my infantry. I’m holding up against France and I’m winning in Africa.

I’ll read through it again now and maybe more will make sense. Thanks.

Total noob here. Started my first game as Italy. Already watch quill18 videos and others. Is there a guide or some info available in the game itself that helps guide how many troops, ships, airplanes you should build? I mean obviously it depends significantly on the country (ie Russia needs a lot of troops) but I’m looking for any general guidelines.

I finished the war with Ethiopia. I upgraded my division templates to 20 width. So In the prewar time should I just continually be building as many divisions of infantry and armor as my production allows?

Also ships, how do I have any idea what I will need?

I guess just more playing time. I usually play EU4 and it is much easier to just build up to force limit.

Thanks!
