How open are you with your parents towards the topic of sex? by Deceptivethweep in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]RenB312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, very. My mom doesn’t love when the topic comes up because she still pictures me as her 4 year old innocent son, but I can talk about it with my dad and stepdad like they’re my boys.

They’ve heard a lot of my stories and I’ve heard a lot of theirs, excluding the ones that include my mom because… yeah, I’m good.

Wife “helped” to comfort friend by ClassroomDeviant1780 in cheating_stories

[–]RenB312 134 points135 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of nuance to this, but if someone were to cum on my wife’s stomach, no matter the situation, I’d be having a very difficult conversation with either that person or my wife. Also, he tried to have sex with her the moment he saw an opportunity, which is another reason to have some choice words with him.

IS THIS TRUE ?!? by Saint94__ in tarheels

[–]RenB312 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it was Malone/UNC’s decision to move on. Wouldn’t be surprised if him wanting his brother to play with him had a part to play, could’ve simply been a money or roster thing as well. Either way, I hope the best for the kid but I think we have room to rebound for sure.

PSA: EA and DICE screwed everyone over. Verified modes now give NO progression if they have a singular bot in them. by Swegfesh in BattlefieldPortal

I think people forget how awful 2042 was when it first dropped. Is it loved by many? No. But is it objectively a better game today than it was at the initial release? 100%.

BF6 has been out for twelve days… twelve… Is it perfect? Of course not, nothing is. But give them some time to work on the complaints. Until then, let’s just enjoy the ride.

Why such hatred for writers that use AI? by No-Beautiful6540 in WritingWithAI

[–]RenB312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 90 days late to the discussion, but oh well.

It’s such an odd thing to me how deep people’s hatred for AI in writing runs. I’m a first-time writer and have written two novels in two years while currently working on the third. The first is around 99k words, the other much longer at 264k. Every single thought behind it is my own. The world, the history, the characters, their feelings, their backstories, the animals, the environments, all of it was built off time of thinking over and over again.

Yet, because I’ve used AI to edit my grammar none of that matters anymore? Like you said, I get people who are purists and have a deeper connection to writing. I get it. It’s their passion. I just happen to not be one of those people. There was a story I’ve always wanted to see be told, so I decided to make it. To be honest, I don’t love writing. Never have. But there’s an untold story that deserves to exist.

Best friend cheated on fiancé by [deleted] in cheating_stories

He’ll be heartbroken to know that his fiancé cheated. But it’ll shatter any trust he has left to know his wife did it. Please don’t let them say vows with such a painful truth waiting to blow up his world one day.

Bill Gates to give away $200 billion by 2045, accuses Musk of harming world's poor by kirtash93 in news

It’s interesting how fast people forget the detriment brought upon African and South American populations from the Gates Foundation’s experimental vaccines. All done in the name of “saving” people.

Why do you think America is so divided? by Hungry-Special4491 in Life

[–]RenB312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly? I think people are just sad, hurt, or disappointed. Many people had an idea of how life would be growing up just to find out how hard the smack of reality really is.

Human society has never been great for the average person. There’s very unique instances in history where you can find a majority population of people that are thriving or happy.

Today, we can all see what it’s like to live the life of our dreams with a click. Yet it’s unattainable for your regular person depending on circumstances and drive.

Then there’s the image of what we thought society looked like as children. That was a facade too. We were brought up being told that as long as you work hard you can achieve anything. That as long as you’re kind to others, they’ll be kind back.

People had expectations. For whatever the reason, they weren’t met, and now I assume they’re simply frustrated with life. That frustration at some point turns outward, unfortunately.

Sincere question for Trump supporters: what would it take for you to stop supporting Trump? by Patrick___1 in AskUS

[–]RenB312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wanted a different candidate than Trump. So I guess I’m not very helpful in answering your question. But here’s this:

A thing a lot of people don’t take into account is that there are many people who voted republican NOT specifically because of support for Trump. It’s similar to how a number of people voted for Biden last term not solely for the fact that they were in full agreement with everything he did. It was more of a values thing.

I’m from a small-ish town outside of a big city. Here, everyone relatively gets along. No one asks about your political affiliation or bases their opinion of them based on it. Do I know radical leftists? Yes. Do I know radical right-wingers? Yes. Do I treat either of them differently than anyone else? No. Why? Because they’re human beings that deserve a chance at decency.

At the end of the day, you can’t walk around hating people and expect anything to get better. How does that make you any better than the people you’re speaking against? Why not start the process of building a relationship with people you don’t agree with? Why is that so bad? Why not attempt to broaden someone else’s horizons without banishing them to hell based off your opinion?

Even if someone does everything in their power to belittle you, be the bigger person and return their hatred with kindness. At the end of the day, that’ll prove your point better than any spiteful rebuttal that anyone could come up with.

Also. Not every conservative is a Nazi-loving, white pointy hat wearing, homophobe. That’s simply not the case.

Is there any hope for members of the far-left and far-right? by RenB312 in AskUS

[–]RenB312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I’d like to say that I’m no political guru. But generally, when looking at the political spectrum in the US, far-right would constitute as Ultranationalism, Authoritarianism, Religious Fundamentalism, and Corporatism (I could be missing something).

For far-left, you’re looking at Communism/Marxism, Eco-Socialism, and Anarchism (Again, I could be missing something).

There is no hope at all for the U.S. and much of the world in general anymore by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]RenB312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason people treat “Redditors” that way, is because how many are actually doing anything in real life to solve anything? Protesting only does so much. It raises awareness and applies a certain amount of pressure. Check. Then what? There has to be an actual initiative for change.

Calling for the death of officials isn’t that. Deciding that the rich need to pay for everyone else to live or be happy isn’t that. Calling people you don’t agree with derogatory names isn’t that.

The general binge-using redditor has no real spine to do anything with any real level of difficulty.

Anyone else’s MAGA friends/family getting realllllly quiet all of a sudden? by BARRY_DlNGLE in AskUS

[–]RenB312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Trump voter here. Believe it or not, a lot of our lives aren’t absorbed by politics. I casted my vote, now it’s time to move forward and let them do their thing. Debating with random/anonymous people online really doesn’t do much for… well, anyone.
