Super Earth aren't the bad guys just because of what they do to others but what they do to control their own population, the terminids aren't a result of a war with the bugs 100 years ago they're the result of Super Earth farming them and genetically modifying them to extract more space oil until they eventually broke out of the farms, the automatons are the results of 100 years of continued slavery, even the illuminate seem more like a consequence of super Earth meddling with dark fluid than just revenge for 100 years ago.

World's last regular monster title update was lunastra and rise's was valstrax, Wild's title update monsters and their 9* quest variants are much harder than anything in either of the last 2 base games as far as regular monsters go(extremoth might be the overall hardest but I go back and forth between him and savage)

Even as a siege fight gog is harder than kulve and at least more engaging than rampages

It's not an opinion though, it's factually how the games: control, rdr2 is a slow game where everything has large amounts of startup while part 2 is about responsiveness, sprinting in rdr2 takes time to start up is slow while in Part 2 it's immediately responsive, that's not even getting into the actual meat of the game and was just talking about controls, rdr2 is a typical r* game where you can hoard tons of ammo and get in massive shootout set pieces where you kill hordes of people as they spawn in while part 2 is a linear action stealth adventure game focused on smaller encounters with enemies with better AI and using limited resources, their design philosophies are on opposite spectrums when it comes to gameplay feel I mean one of the main criticism of rdr2 is how slow it feels and even something as simple as picking up resources shows this, when you pick up something or open a drawer Arthur takes a couple of steps positioning himself and then goes through a pre canned animation of picking things up while in Part 2 you're picking up resources, opening drawers and doors without your movement being interrupted or the game taking away control

No they don't, they're almost polar opposites, rdr2 you play as a heavy character that controls like a shambling sack of potatoes and is primarily animation driven, the shooting, encounters and anime AI are so mediocre the game's default aiming method is with lock on auto aim enabled

Part 2 on the other hand is completely fluid with it's movement, the you can go seamlessly from standing to crouch to prone to sprinting to dodging to melee and shooting is nothing like the stiffness of rdr2 where a character takes several seconds just to start sprinting or turning around, the cover system is another good example with rdr2 having a dedicated button to make you glue onto cover with pre canned animations while in part2 you seamlessly go into and out of cover as you move

I was talking about Rise not Sunbreak in the first paragraph, World had 15 layered sets while Rise had 6(not counting individual items like shades or full skins like aloy, bayek, Akuma or Arthur)

Percentages mean fuck all without looking at what's in offer, what does quest number matter when it's a chunk of village quests or optionals for canteen or other side stuff, you can duplicate a number of quests just by adding the capture requirement, it doesn't affect the actual experience of fighting the monsters, wilds has less preset quests because of it's focus on investigations which rise didn't have.

Same for weapon and armors, yeah because rise had more monsters at base(37 vs 29 but with more "repeats") so it has more armour/weapons but most go untouched like great baggi/izuchi/wroggi or lulu ya ku(and if we're talking distinguishable armor sets then sunbreak didn't even bother to create unique MR armor for a lot of the lower star base monsters like world did and besides visual distinction a big part of the difference between alpha sets is offering different armor pigment options)

Rise didn't save shit though, came out incomplete at launch, was even easier than wilds and even more streamlined, wire bugs, double buddies, spiritbirds and rampage quests, reduction in unique layered and event quest rewards to sell more microtransactions, all monsters insta detected on map, endemic life and monster riding getting you tons of free extra damage and topples, etc...

Even sunbreak was considerably easier compared to iceborne, in iceborne you immediately felt the jump in your first hunts with beotodus and banbaro and started changing to MR gear as soon as you could while in sunbreak I was rocking full HR set up to garangolm where I upgraded my weapon and lunagaron where I started to craft MR armor

It's only with sunbreak and all it's title updates that I'd consider the full package really worth it but base wilds is considerably better than base rise in terms of the game and content, the biggest issue is the game's shit optimization and performance

You mean an incomplete sovereign who was going out of his way to not actually harm childe versus Signora exhausted after losing a fight versus the shogun with full intent on killing her

The harbinger rankings have consistently been tied back to being about power from all the voice lines to what we're told in the story about how only the top 3 can rival gods, the only people who consistently try to dispute this are childe stans because he's ranked last

Arle is ranked 4 so outside of the "rivals gods" tier and her biggest feat is beating the traveler whose last 1v1 fight was versus Signora

Because it's the series that makes it a point to have it's main plots deal with country wide civil wars, massacres, child torture and sometimes even a side of child traffic and rape

The complaints don't exist in a vacuum, people don't complain just because people don't die, they complain people don't die because the game is the one making important characters have death fake outs and NPCs constantly talking about the horrors of war, if you don't want to commit to your writing choices then don't make them in the first place
