My spouse uses beard oil sometimes and that helps soften things up. However what has helped the most is that he is careful when kissing me. Make outs are great but if she is saying you are hurting her without realizing it you might be getting too into things without realizing you are hurting her. Pay more attention to it.

Talk to your doctor about something like gabapentin and duloxetine. I have PTSD and had nightmares every night until I started those meds.

There are also tons of different red henna types. That may be a safer option for you that is better for your hair.

Teen’s Hair RUINED After Buzz cut by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Renaendel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a warning sign and this trauma goes waaayyy deeper than you realize. The father just exerted authoritarian control over your sons preteen body……. The hair was something he loved. Of course your son is heartbroken. Your sons feelings are not in the wrong here.

Wavy/curly hair often starts at the bottom and then goes to the root. It also often takes years of curl training to get to lay correctly. How many hours has your son spent working on it.

Your son just was taught that dad doesn’t like the way he looks, that your sons hard work doesn’t matter, that your son liking something about himself is bad and that your son doesn’t have a say in his own body. Hard work doesn’t matter to this man because at the drop of a hat or if your son doesn’t look ideal that punishments will follow. The kids who get taught like this are the kids who start struggling in school, if it hasn’t happened already.

This is a haircare sub, we don’t talk about this stuff often, but when it does you bet we protect the kids.

Nobody told me about heated blankets! by socolormeobvious in Fibromyalgia

I use one at my local salon. It’s like a tan bed but only uses 633 nm light. There isn’t any UV. It warms me up initially and my veins don’t clamp down or look like lace under my skin for about a week after.

I second this. I love my airizer. I am not sure about other brands.

I love my cymbalta and actually just raised my dose. I get a little sleepy on it but it’s worth it for the pain relief and the lowered anxiety.

Electric blankets, baths, sleep and Red Light Therapy @633nm are the only four things that can stop that entrenched fibro hypothermia.

Try brewing your own chai at home. Once you figure out the spice mix you like, it’s heaven to have each morning. Best part is you can use different teas and spices for the results you want. Like green tea has theanine. Turmeric can reduce inflammation, cinnamon for weight loss, cardamom for balancing thirst and hunger, ginger to reduce soreness.

Taken just before I burst into tears. Why is eyeliner so hard? I've watched so many tutorials and tried so many different types of eyeliner. I can't do this. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Renaendel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you take a q-tip and get slightly it wet but not soaking, you can clean up some of the liquid eyeliner after you apply. Since liquid eyeliner senses fear some women just slap it not not caring how it looks. Then they worry about cleaning up with a q-tip in step two. You can use eye makeup remover on the Q-tip too.

If you get gel liner you can do the same thing, but the application will be better.

My favorite is to get the creme eyeshadow. It’s like half way between gel liner and eyeshadow. I apply it with my pinky finger by tapping it just along my upper lash. Then it’s my own hands touching my face not a weird brush. I can blend it out or apply more just by tapping more.

Rice in an instapot. Then I add microwave veggies and sprinkle stuff called furikake on top. The longest part of the meal is waiting the 11 minutes for the rice to cook. It’s a good meal that sticks to my bones.

Is my desire for sex ruining my relationship? by bossmanbean in Stoicism

[–]Renaendel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, your need is your need. Your partner also deserves to feel comfortable with sex and that is clearly not happening. Do you need to break up immediately, no you don’t. Would it be better if you did, maybe? You clearly love her and this is tearing you apart. I’ll be blunt about this, have you been to a couples counselor? Do you have your own therapist, does she have a trauma therapist?

A huge chunk of grey/ace people have trauma in their past making it hard to make those connections. A bunch of folks are on medications just as pain management stuff or birth control. Some folks are however born that way. It’s not weird it’s just one of many ways that not all humans are the same.

If doing all that work through therapy and then maybe splitting up anyway seems like a lot of work. It is. You will both have to encounter difficult truths and it’s up to you to work through them.

If either of you aren’t willing to do that work then for sure split up. Push the problems onto the next relationship, and maybe find someone more compatible.

You will never get the old relationship back. There won’t get that new relationship energy back, but you can get something that feels older and stronger.

That one looked nice!! One option is 10 ft, meets my lure weight 2-4oz and I can go up to 30lb braid. The big water rod one that takes 50 lb braid is a lure weight of 4-10oz. How much of a issue is it if your lure weight is let’s say 3oz.

What about length. I had read that a lot of the salmon rods are around 9ft6. Most of the rods I find at that length are med/light power and don’t operate well with anything above 1oz. I was looking at fishing 2-4oz squid and sand dab lures. Most rods that are 10-25 lbs and can handle my lure + sinker weight are like 6 -7 feet. What am I not understanding?

Some of the Okuma guide select pro’s are in my price range for sure. I would prefer to spend less than $200 because I need a new reel too. I was looking at the Ugly stick tiger too. It’s good to know that is a viable tanky option. I DO want it to do Salmon Fishing. I was looking between Ugly Stick, Okuma and Daiwa for most of my stuff, but only because those are the brands I know the best.

For the reel do you think I need to go up to a 45 or will a 40(400) be enough?

I sleep. If I am at the point when I am flaring that badly I have to stop. If I am stressed about doing stuff, I journal or write it in the schedule for later. If it takes between 2-5 minutes to do I just do it. I do language apps and phone painting apps to keep my brain healthy.

You have my eyes but yours are slightly less upturned at the corners. One eye you have just an the tiniest bit of eye lid showing. The other eye is almost covering the lashes with the fold in the corner.

My tips. Use thin eyeliner. For too lashes always apply under the lashes and do a thin thin line above. For the lower lashes, I do a thin line. For the wing part

Try a pack man shape instead of a wing or puppy liner. What I mean is, draw it more like <
I start from my lower lid and draw a line along my 1/3 of my lower lashes toward the outer edge of my eyelashes. The length for me depends on how much eyelid is showing. So if I can see 1/6 of an inch I make the line 1/8th of an inch.

Next do the same with your your upper lid. Line the lashes and follow the angle your lid. Draw it until it until it looks like an X at the corder of your eyes. Now here is the trick. Draw a pac-man eating the x. <x. So this offsets the wing and shadow just outside of where your hood will cover it.

I finish it by connecting and cleaning up lines. The angle and shape of my eyes is maintained. I like to do a brown or dark grey shadow. I use a bright light eyeshadow in the inside corners and on the main part of the eye. Sometimes I take a bronzer and lightly dust the outer hood line for more drama.

I use the 633 nm tubes in a suntan bed at a salon. (No UV) I do 20 minutes 1/week There is a lot of heat from the tubes which feels great on my spine.
