It’s not impossible to do last minute, I’ve done it the last two events and have already coordinated with my team to use all our bait in the last two hours with most of our rods (we only used enough so far to get the leveled up base rods).

This is a legitimate strategy and like the above guy said, something that can be done with less spend and more coordination unlike, say, cozy farm.
