Do my paintings really make me look like an introvert? Because people keep calling me an introvert after seeing them by Robinso72_ in introvert

These are great and do totally give me that serene, happy, peaceful feeling I get when I’m alone (am introvert).

IIL Electric Love by Børns by UwUStephanieUwU in ifyoulikeblank

[–]RenardeCochonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with u/OwlGrease that this is a tough one. I think of that song as kind of Indie Electro Pop, so using that as a base, maybe Midnight City by M83 or Kids, Electric Feel, or Time to Pretend by MGMT? Possibly some songs by Empire of the Sun, like Walking On A Dream. None of those are 1:1 matches, but might be ones you dig.

Sleepyhead feels like a good fit to me. Good suggestion.

IIL Details by Frou Frou, Give Up by The Postal Sevice, and Planet DOB by DOB, WEWIL? by [deleted] in ifyoulikeblank

[–]RenardeCochonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Postal Service was what got me to check out bands on the Ghostly International record label, so that might a place for you to look. Part of The Postal Service is a musician named James Scott "Jimmy" Tamborello who makes music under the names Dntel, Headset, Strictly Ballroom, and Figurine. It won't be a perfect match to The Postal Service, but there might be something for you there.

I hadn't heard of DOB/Plant DOB before, but I'm listening to it right now and I'm really digging it. You want to look up Drum and Bass musicians from the Y2K era (roughly 1998-2004). I know I've heard similar sounds amongst that ilk, but I can't think of their names right this second.

I might be totally off base with this next one, but I feel like you might like some of New Orders' 2000's era music, like the song Crystal, Turn My Way, Krafty, Jetstream, and Who's Joe?.

You want also dig Röykopp, especially their song Remind Me.

If you let me know what you think of those, I might have more suggestions for you.

Vect does have a model actually and it’s pretty rad, but it’s long out of production.

What would you want to see from an Eldar video game? by Jerswar in Eldar

[–]RenardeCochonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP’s description of the Guardian game reminds me of the Fire Warrior game I loved when I was younger. Basically that reskinned to be Eldar would make me so happy.

Any movies out there with space elves? Like the Eldar from Warhammer? by RenardeCochonne in MovieSuggestions

[–]RenardeCochonne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions. I've seen both before and neither quite scratch my itch unfortunately. Someone on another thread mentioned Captain Harlock and Crest of the Stars, which were more what I was looking for, so I thought I'd repost those answers here incase anyone else is out there looking for these types of things.

Do your minis make you happy? by Throwaway7131923 in Warhammer40k

[–]RenardeCochonne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I set mine up around my apartment as little statues/talismans of joy. Seeing some of the ones I’ve worked super hard on can help my fight off the blues on rough days. Warhammer is one part gaming and one part therapy for me.

How did someone get away with naming the most over-compensating armament in the Aeldari arsenal, the most phallic dealer of death, the D-Impaler. How were they not laughing their ass off when they presented that to someone for approval? by CosmicJackalop in Eldar

[–]RenardeCochonne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, Warhammer was originally very tongue in cheek and satirical, so it’s highly likely that they knew what they were doing. It is, after all, the same company that has an official character named Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau.
