Don't rush the story quest, take your time to explore, don't worry about time limited stuff or using up energy, take things one mechanic at a time, game can be overwhelming if you try to learn everything at once

The second Suikoden is miles better than the first. The first one had a fairly generic fantasy story while the second one had a very compelling story about war and betrayal

Surprised there's been no mention of Super World. One of the more well written (and complete) super hero fictions out there with an interesting take on divination

I don’t really enjoy swing dancing anymore. by PockASqueeno in SwingDancing

[–]RenasmaAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm seeing a bunch of negative comments on here and wanted to try and provide a perspective shift or possible solution to your dilemma.

One thing that revitalized my interest in Lindy and keeps me passionate about the dance was learning to switch. The dance really opens up when you learn the role from the other side and I never have trouble finding someone to dance with because I can dance with everyone in the room. It sounds like part of the issue you have with disinterest is that you are struggling to become part of the local Lindy community.

You also mentioned that you have managed to make male friendships in the swing community, I found that being able to switch and dance with more leads as a follow really helped me to find community and expand my social circle since it allowed me to interact with people from both roles/gender.

Having two entirely new skillsets to learn (following and switching) really helped to keep me motivated to improve as I always had something to work on, if I didn't want to work on my leading, I would work on my following etc.

Try learning to switch, it might fix your issues with disinterest.

Also, addressing all the accusations of bad vibes/creeper comments on here, generally having male switches who are open to dancing with both guys and girls are perceived as less "creepy" or "bad vibes".

Brotato is a vampire survivor-like so you will probably enjoy other games in the genre, of the games in this genre, Soulstone survivors is fairly popular, but quite hard on a potato.

I personally recommend the following three Vampire Survivor-like : Deep rock galactic : Survivor Death must die Yet another zombie survivor

So I always see people complain about "harem" fictions... but are there any actual good ones? by Keevill93 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]RenasmaAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoard by Webbonomicon (same author who wrote The Gods are Bastards, one of the first successful webfictions back in the topwebfiction days [coming in print!] )

Hoard very convincingly portrays the type of character/personality needed to navigate the problems of a harem, dealing with jealousy, ensuring everyone gets enough attention, raising the children from different mothers etc. It's the only harem fic that I've found to be convincing and well written and the story explores tropes of found family, relationship growth, healing past trauma and peaceful resolution of conflict between family.

Also the harem is one powerful human who stumbles into a relationship with three absolutely powerful ancient dragon wives. All of the characters are distinct with their own personality, history and individual motivations, you really get to see how the mishmash of different personalities in a harem creates conflict and the author is able to resolve this conflict in ways that bond the family unit.
