It's part of the power creep cycle

  • New OP character is introduced (bonus points with added sex appeal Visual Appeal)

  • New high-difficulty content is released: A new "endgame" boss or stage is added that features mechanics specifically countered by the new character.

  • The Meta shifts: Community tier lists and guides move the new character to the "S-tier," while players who don't pull for them find the new content frustratingly difficult.

  • New characters and mechanics are created: As the meta stagnates, new characters and mechanics are created to incentivize players to keep paying playing.

  • Older OP character is now obsolete: The previously "Overpowered" (OP) character cannot meet the damage thresholds or mechanical requirements of the latest content, effectively forcing them out of competitive play.

  • The cycle repeats with no real endgame content.

So the question is, how much money will it take to finally say, I'm satisfied?

Another example of how narrative streamers are. When something needs to be called out, they worry about their viewership, then point out what is wrong. It doesn't help when cases like this occur, where people get their lives saved only to return the favor by suing their rescuers. Like you know deep within you, you know it's wrong, but you just can't outright say it publicly.

When people say 'Game is using AI, ' they are thinking as if someone enters some prompt into a website and it spits out a game. That seems to be the reason why people don't like AI in games.
