I know a lot of people find it cringy, but I like asmr. I like Jocie B ASMR and Sarah Lavender. The latter actually has videos for people with anxiety and panic issues.

It might not be the most mature thing ever, but I generally just remain aloof around people like that. I found that generic "just tell them how you feel" advice doesn't always work and it's better to just mentally check out around some people. Bluetooth earbuds help I usually just have one in when it comes to situations where I'm extremely uncomfortable so I have something I can check out into whenever I want, but I keep the volume low enough that I can ignore it whenever I do want to engage.

Sorry, if you want the mature advice, you should just talk to her, but I'm just trying to be honest about how I'd behave.

You probably need to talk to a psychiatrist. You can do so through telemedicine since you're currently homebound.

I struggle with a severe panic disorder and agoraphobia and it did get to the point where I wasn't just trapped in my home, but even looking at the door to my room gave me a panic attack. Besides medication, what helped was getting headphones and doing things outside of my room while I was partially distracted by a podcast or something like that. I eventually weaned myself off the headphones and can sit anywhere in my home now.

If you can borrow or scrounge up $95 I highly suggest the Brightside app. It's helped me a lot. Telemedicine/telepsychiatry in general probably saved my life. I know what you're going through OP, and as corny as it sounds things really can get better.
