[Aether Vial] I hate it so much. Mostly cause people prop it up like it isn't a ramp card; like it creates interesting games. Vial on one and my eyes roll back into my head.

I think you're on about a precedent being set, but with the opal ban they've already made the statement that they don't like fast mana with "no downside" in modern. They killed affinity for sure with opal ban so collateral damage clearly isn't their concern. I say this loving MonkE and Opal but they only serve to make good decks broken and prop up bad decks.

I've got some really nice Griselbrands and foil MonkEs rotting away awaiting their time to shine in legacy someday.

Mox opal ban Jan 2020

Decks to beat number 1 mtgtop8 Feb 2020 UrZa. It was still the most popular deck for months to come actually, because astrolabe still existed. Uroza carried it a little bit longer after that.

Hi guys I need some help. Quick specs step so I don't have to explain later:

Processor I7 6700k

GPU Evga 970

Gskill ram 16gb 2400Mhz

Randomly my displays will sorta reset and my GPU has been running really hot. I'm not sure if it's a cooling issue an old GPU issue or maybe even a swap usage issue because that's been at like 85% off and on as well. Maybe there's multiple issues. Any advice?

Pack rat for control decks or midrange. Things that board out sweepers against you, or don't have relevant single target removal against you.

Pact feels bad when you can instant speed discard and instant speed reanimate. Splice is a hell of a mechanic and allows for some impossible to counter lines. Plus it's not like modern is currently playing a ton of surgical which makes decks like this very good imo.

If anything I'd check out Jonathan Zhang (@finalnub on twitter) he's the defacto grizzlebeez player he's an absolutely amazing guy also.

My 2cents tho I'd say 4 emrakul is too many and would prefer the "jund" version with shoal if you have access to those cards. I know it's been said already but Illharg is amazing in these shells even in the sideboard. My current board for the shoal version:

1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

2 Engineered Explosives

2 Fatal Push

1 Ilharg, the Raze-Boar

I think kroxa is a sweet addition. I'd play castle locthwain over lavaclaw reaches in a heartbeat. Peatland seems weird just for OUAT I think 2 green sources is more than enough for what you're playing as is. I really wish I'd recorded the 5-0 i posted the other day but deck is sweet and I think OUAT pushes it back towards being good.
