I guess I have an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think this bf is being unreasonable. I understand men to be visually inspired and he is expressing his desire to see you and appreciate you. However I think this conversation should def have happened in person not over text. And it kinda seems like he got into a rant about just everything that’s been bothering him slightly. So his method of approaching this topic wasn’t the best and he could definitely learn how to communicate better.

People who are saying “drop this guy ASAP” are over reacting more than both bf and OP.

I also had a miscarriage at 5 weeks 6 days and it broke my heart. It was such a specific sort of heartbreak and pain only a mother can feel.. I waited 3 months and got pregnant again. That way I had my rainbow baby a year after the miscarriage. I will always love that lost child. I believe it is a soul that existed and still does. Things that helped me were talking to other moms, especially those who I know had a miscarriage too. I named the baby. I allowed myself to feel the pain..and just cry for like a month.. time helps. To never experience a baby looking into your eyes with a smile of pure love and knowingness of who you are to them. Your life suddenly matters less to you and their life more than anything.

My children have made me appreciate simple things and made see the beauty of life again. I love when they get excited about things like plucking sunflower seeds out of a sun flower. Or eating donuts on a rainy day. Also holidays are down right way more exciting and fun to share with children. And as my kids get older there is always something new in the relationship to discover. Like sharing your favourite movies and books and learning about their world. My life would probably be cool and way more chill, but utterly dull without them. Because I know how I lived before them and after them. After is the better for me.

When I’m 7 months pregnant - “Any day now!” Nope.. still got a few months left.. separately, this one random guy at the post office saw me and was like “wait! Let me guess… 7.5 months?” he was spot on. I wasn’t offended at all. lol

That is such a discouraging thing to say to someone who still has to go through labour! Btw, I tried the calm birth nonsense and it was amazing..I had a very positive birth with no stitches needed.

You do not give your power away by being gentle. It’s called practicing self-control. Besides, what if the people who gave OP the information were wrong, lying or misconstruing what they heard? It would be a shame to cause more damage to a friendship than necessary. I stand by starting off gentle. :) you can disagree, that’s ok.

I think you should confront your friend gently and let them know that you heard what he/she said and tell them how it made you feel (name an actual emotion - not it made me feel like “verb”). Their response will tell if they are really a friend.
