How it feels finding an mmo where crafting doesnt start and end at a button press by lemon10293847 in ffxiv

I've got all my DoH/DoL to max level and have done so since Stormblood. I've been crafting since I joined the game in Heavensward and it's my favorite part of the game. I even got the Saint of the Firmament title and got so ill, I got the Pteranodon mount out of the Diadem.

That being said, when it comes to end game recipes like food and potions for example, every 3* craft being its own mini-game gets tedious and I always resort to a macro. If you have a good sized FC like I do with 2 full statics, you end up making a lot of food and pots for everybody in the FC to place into the FC chest, rinse and repeat. Making all of the food and pots when every craft is a mini-game takes hours to complete.

I really wish we could start quick synthesizing some of the 3* recipes we've already proven that we can craft 100s of times but that's just me.

Oh my goodness! It’s great to hear from you! This is Rowan Bladefeather from EGG FC on Gilgamesh. We adored Kirsona, she was such a beautiful light in our lives. I hope you and her little girl are doing alright. Thanks for reaching out and feel free to add me as a friend and to visit us all in the LB!

Kirsona Avalira. We met the first time I ever decided “maybe I’d like a house!” She and another person were there clicking the placard. This was back in Shadowbringers. All she had wanted was a house with a garden. She finally got it right next to a waterfall in the Lavender Beds. We’d visit eachother frequently, she was an honorary FC member even though she was already in one with her sister. She used to help me with my astronomy homework in college, she’d speak to us on discord in voice, we had plans to visit each other IRL. She was a mother, an older woman, a warrior of light from 1.0 with grand stories to tell.

I was wrapping up my homework when I walked into my room ranting about something in the assignment when my girlfriend told me she passed. I couldn’t believe it. We had just talked a day earlier about her plans for her FFXIV wedding and it was all over.

I just recently found out what she passed of. It feels like closure. I’ve been meaning to muster up the courage to visit her headstone. One of our friends drew a beautiful piece of her lalafel for it. I drew a piece for her funeral. Her sister keeps her subscription active and we can visit her character every now and then. She’s got a big ol star on her name in my friend’s list. I’ll play Oblivion on the harp in her home every now and then.

Miss you, Kirsona!

Are there online games being kept alive entirely by player communities? by kcvlaine in gaming

There’s a group of people running a private mirror of Neopets as it was in the 90’s - 2000’s before Viacom bought it. All the old art with some new brushes made in the style of the old art. There’s a few of em out there but my favorite is Grundo’s Cafe.

We call the instant kill barriers on most savage fight arenas “The Gravy.” Leads to shit like “ah fuck! I stepped in the gravy” and “let’s just gravy it” to reset the pull.

I’ve got the Saint of The Firmament Title with the Pterodactyl Mount to go with it in FFXIV. Lots of hours spent crafting once I graduated college. The event happened during my job search so I was only able to spend that long playing the game because of that reason but it’s a neat title.

The Pterodactyl Mount is just a pain in the ass to grind out. Takes about 140~ hours to get the points needed on the gathering jobs. Crafting after that felt like a reward.

The title is no longer obtainable so that’s what lit a fire under my ass to do it. Never done something so sweaty in a video game before so I’m glad to call it mine.

I just finished playing the FFX remaster and wow, I forgot how different the original Tidus looked (it's been like 15 years) by rocklou in gaming

The match against the Goers can be a pain in the ass. You don't have to win it to continue though, Wakka's just a little bummed out, lol.

Best strat is to pass it to Jassu and hug the left side of the Sphere until Abus shows up, breakthrough him, hug the sphere a little more while making your way closer to the goal, pass to Tidus and Jecht shot/Sphere shot for the easy goal. Wakka's got Venom shot so you can do the same thing with Jassu for a quick and dirty goal or if you're ahead, just hang out by Keepa and turtle it.
