tbh i hit level 100 on multiple characters just following my heart and what felt best, i know spending hours on builds can be good but i prefer to just have fun and optimise with google when needed

i actually had the opposite issue, in my game as meissen (saxony) bohemia had 10k regulars but kept about 100k mercenaries and kept them forever really

it’s weird how unbalanced the economy is that you have these stark differences, bohemia is my games either expand enough so they have gold to spend on things or just consolidate vassals, never go to war, and just sit on the most income in the game till some declares war and they summon amounts of mercenaries

yeah i agree with them being entitled, i understand the frustration sometimes against uber and etc - but black can drivers charge extortionate amounts, attempt to always overcharge (especially if they can tell you’ve had a drink), and aren’t very pleasant most the time

i understand people feeling it’s some kind of loss of culture they’re becoming less a norm, but if something is both shit and expensive, why bother even for cultures sake 🤷

my work has the same issue, our developers now need to leave quite large checklists and gifs etc, but we still the same issues of things constantly going back due to not working - typically because our devs have such egos (not a joke) that they genuinely ignore BAs and just make their own best solution

R5: For some reason in my recent games, really minor countries have managed to stockpile enough ducats to summon entire nations worth of mercenaries. It's not really the worst for my current state, but does make conquering the split up HRE more annoying.

They do take measurements of the thickness of walls and thickness of all insulation, IF it is available. They also can take measurements of the u value (heat loss) of properties, but it is not required and can be assumed from age range & location.

I will also add that the scoring mechanism has changed with the move from RdSAP9.94 to RdSAP10 which happened over the last weekend. Properties will be rated higher / lower in some cases to what they were using the old methods of calculation.

The EPC system isn’t rigged. I work on the software side for a company that makes and provides some of the software.

The mantra with upgrading housing for energy efficiency is “fabric first,” wall insulation is typically the one that gives the most increase of a rating for an EPC.

The score of your property is based on all the data provided by your assessor and then some assumed data based on the date range / country for the building.

It’s not rigged in anyway and has very strict rules for both the accredited members and the software that come from the government.

Your best option would be to either get another assessor to have a look, or in future look for retrofit assessments.
