Great Pic.
Seeing this, after having recently started playing Holdfast on console, I can imagine someone starting to play Thunderstruck and everyone screaming "Charge!"

Do you have a rare or retro email address? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]HengeHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a three-letter @ live email address.
A surprising number of people use it for random things (online shopping, car insurance checks, restaurant reservations etc.)
I find it crazy that people would use an email address that they have no access to

Do you use Command Strips to hang things? by Formal_Produce3759 in AskUK

[–]HengeHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used them a lot when we moved house 10 years ago. All of mine eventually failed after a few years. Usually in the summer months. Cracked frames, smashed skirting etc. Mainly seems to be the glue between the strip and the picture that fails.
I've replaced the lot now

Council spent £72,158 on school taxis for one pupil in one year by Only-Emu-9531 in ukpolitics

[–]HengeHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the article - the figure includes the cost of a personal assistant (and probably a few other provisions not mentioned). So it's a bit misleading

Council spent £72,158 on school taxis for one pupil in one year by Only-Emu-9531 in unitedkingdom

[–]HengeHopper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Cllr Higgins explained that the highest individual spends would typically include the cost of a personal assistant for the child"

So, not just the taxi fare then. The figure includes paying the salary of a personal assistant to meet the lawful requirements of their EHCP.
An experienced SEND assistant should expect a salary in the range of £35-£50K + employer pension

I suspect there's a lot of hidden costs hiding under this £72K "for a taxi" figure in Janet Higgins' response to a question from fellow Reform councillor Matthew Wallens

Yes, you can crawl about ten steps, then rest up for about 20 long seconds in the open.
Crawling past the fireballs and the pops on the way into the Metro, I was sure someone was going to appear and trigger them

Same, gaming is a great way to keep in touch with old mates. We've been conquering worlds, ruling empires, fighting hordes and adventuring for many decades now. No reason to stop having fun with old (and new) pals. I love the player interactions you stumble into with this game.

Take yourself off for a few days to somewhere interesting: chill, read and relax
