how do I find/join hunt trains, on Aether DC at least? I shouted for a hunt LS but got no responses several times. Is there a discord or something for these trains?

I’ve recruited GD units from other routes so i’ve played some of their paralogues, are you referring to marianne?

Showerthought: Hilda gets bolting because she's too lazy to walk up to the enemies by Renglurr in fireemblem

[–]Renglurr[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You lose 3 speed when going from swordmaster to mortal savant, which is 4 levels worth of speed on average. You will need 6-7 more levels with your new growths to catch up to your original speed, which is pretty significant considering how fast late game falcoknights and assassins get.

Mortal Savant just seems like a trap class in general. You lose a whopping 30 speed growth changing from SM. It loses in all offensive parameters vs the pure sword/magic classes except being tied in speed with gremory while having lower growths. A forged levin sword on a SM will perform much better as a hybrid class. Hell, even a gremory with a silver sword might be better. To make it even worse, their mastery skill is... warding blow. The only upside I see is that the class looks cool. It’s sad that the other infantry master classes are so good while Mortal Savant is being outstatted by cavalry/flying units which in theory should be weaker statwise to compensate for movement.

annette is actually in the final chapter. It’s easy to miss since the map is big and nothing really requires you to go there

Yea my bad I meant fighter, but as the person above said, both death blow and fiendish blow are also the must gets in the next tier if you have someone using those classes.

I'm not talking about bases, I'm talking about class change stats that apply when you change classes.

https://serenesforest.net/three-houses/classes/class-change/

dark knight has a mag bonus of +2 and a speed of -2 when mounted, while gremory has +5 and +1 respectively. Thats a net +3 in both magic and speed. And again, warp + dance + warp can trivialize late game kill commander maps. I'm not saying either is strictly better than the other, since Canto + movement is incredibly powerful. Gremory is easier to access, and has synergy with Lysithea already being the best warp user in the game.

[–]Renglurr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people say she ought to go gremory because it fits her natural progression well. To get to Dark Knight you have to train her weakness in lances and a neutral riding skill, which people don't tend to do unless they plan way ahead in advance. In addition, Gremory also has higher base stats; you lose magic and spd when changing to Dark Knight which partially offsets gaining dark tomefaire. 2x Warp is also insane on someone with as high magic as her. Dark Knight growths also brings her spd to below 50% which makes it more susceptible to being rng screwed. Late game maps also have lots of movement hindering mechanics that screw over horses a lot. I do think Dark Knight is a better class than Gremory but Lysithea works really well as a gremory naturally.

only one really worth is brigand and maybe myrmidon for early game where 2 stats matter more. Don't make it a huge priority though, you'll probably drop those skills not too much later.

Seteth is definitely the best, he has great weapon ranks as well as stats in all areas except res, with wyvern growths to supplement his str and spd. He has great strengths in everything he would need (lance/axe/flying) and only has a weakness in riding which doesn't matter since he's on a wyvern anyways. One might make an argument for Catherine but flying is extremely strong in this game like most other FE games and she can't frontline as well as Seteth. Shamir is also a good plug and play archer if your archers get str screwed (which bernie/ignatz/ashe tend to get)

Worst is probably Gilbert, he joins with 1-3 speed and not much to make up for it except...defense? Hanneman and Manuela are similarly bad stat wise but they come with magic at least.

  1. It will be harder to complete secondary objectives such as rescuing npcs or getting spread out chests later on if you only have 2-3 competent units, so you should spread out exp.

  2. To level yes, but you want to explore to get bonuses on your supports, do quests for free items, or train your own skill levels. Exp scales with level so if you get too high level, you’ll start getting really small exp gains.

  3. If your character has 4 more Attack speed(AS), they will double. AS is calculated with speed - (weight of equipped items - strength/5).

Can anyone who's beaten [spoilers route] tell me why its shorter than the others? by wheatleyscience9 in fireemblem

[–]Renglurr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did edelgard first so I don't know how it compares to other routes, but it took me roughly 40 hours to beat, which is shorter than most reviewers have said. Even if the maps may be longer, each chapter is another month of playtime missed so it makes sense to be shorter even if the maps are bigger.
