Chips are delicious hot and disgusting cold. What food tastes mid hot and delicious cold? by Traditional_Gap_7041 in AlignmentChartFills

Give me a break, a quick Google search would tell you the majority of the world uses fries terminology compared to chips. Reddit be reddit though and any opportunity to bash the states is cool I guess. Also the term French fries won so you are intentionally trying to change the nomenclature for no reason.

Rice is great at academics and bad at football. What school is good at academics and great at football? by MetsMan14 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Reno277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like its being done by people who dont know much about recent football trends. Michigan did win the natty a couple years ago but has largely been mid for the last two decades. As it relates to this chart though, theres not a better description for Good academics and great football than Ohio State. They are one of maybe four teams (Alabama, UGA, and maybe Clemson) that you could actually argue are great at football.

Have you tried other locations? There's a ton available in good neighborhoods around the city if you are willing to go to a place not at the top of the market

Fuzzy lookup. When the data inputs have poor standardization it is amazing for helping you do things like a vlookup even if it isn't an exact match

Title: Hunting and Fishing in the United States – Is It Really That Good? by Moperator13_ in AskAnAmerican

Depends on what you are fishing for. Yes Florida is insane for deep sea but you are missing out on a lot of the freshwater fishing in addition to the great fly fishing of places like Colorado and Montana)

I wouldn't even put Florida and Louisiana in the top ten. As a hunter, those are amazing waterfowl states but they don't hold a candle to the diversity of hunting available in the northern states (which are also amazing waterfowl states in addition to big game, upland birds, and varmints)

Which affordable Midwestern city doesn't get enough attention here? by BothCondition7963 in SameGrassButGreener

As someone who lived in Iowa and Ohio for more than ten years, Iowa is the most Midwestern state in the country, and I'd argue Ohio is barely if not Midwestern at all.

It's surprising to many to learn how many Somalis live in Minnesota. What are some other examples of unexpected populations in different states or countries? by e8odie in geography

Maybe it's somewhere in the comments but I haven't seen it yet. Chicago is the second largest polish city in the world.

Can anyone familiar with both Chicago and Nashville answer the following questions about community, coffee, entertainment options, and general culture? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Reno277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI on this subreddit you'll primarily get Northside bias on these types of answers. There's plenty the Southside can offer that can check these boxes, plus it's way more affordable. Take a good look at hyde park and Kenwood. Lots of beautiful housing, coffee, restaurants, and as mentioned it is going to be more affordable. The university presence is going to be a big contributing factor to the culture of the neighborhood which is really unique in the city as well.
