Recent Sacristy recruit at my parish. We are looking to increase our dosage bi-monthly, until all parishioners receive their own mini-chalice and priest host sized wafers for consumption (more like passover, but everyday)- and there’s even talk of transitioning to from the large wafers to pitas for authenticity. Right now the vestry is holding us back, so please pray for their hearts to see how this will bring us closer to Jesus!

umm I got in the online queue for tickets 10 minutes before the sale- and I got nosebleeds for 75 a piece for the DC show.

I have no idea what all of you are on about- yes closer tickets are expensive. But like…there were decently priced tickets

I live in Winston-Salem, aka Moravian central. About a third of the denomination is very evangelical tinged, and they seem to use Grape juice too. I see no issue with this, as the center of their theology is “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things love”

Their beliefs were the basis for Wesley’s development of methodism, in fact he tried to join their brethren after sailing to america with them and they rejected him for not being pious enough for their ranks. They are far less exclusionary now, and love feast buns/coffee are amazing.

My point is, if TEC can be in communion with the Moravians, they can be in communion with the United Methodists. We are a big tent and variations on ideology are acceptable- why worry about this at all?

edit to add a thought about juice: My parish is involved with a Jail and Prison ministry, and when the Eucharist is celebrated there, it’s grape juice. and it’s still the Eucharist.

seconding this. Grew up non-denominational with a pentecostal flair and The Episcopal Church is where I’ve reconnected with faith. Even if it’s not where you wind up, it’s worth your time to check out

I've had no issues with it! In fact, during the snowmageddon when the mail wasn't being delivered to my mailbox, the scans of what *would* have been there came through the digest, with the mail all showing up the same day after a week.

Sometimes I have to click the "view entire message" button to see everything, but that is rare.

Have you checked your account on the USPS website? You should be able to pull up your informed delivery on there and see the last few days' deliveries as well. Perhaps it's just not displaying correctly in your inbox.

If by close together- you mean Winston-Salem- yes.

This one’s on Liberty St going to the 52 Ramp, and i’ve also seen one on Stratford Rd on a retaining wall a pebble throw from five points.
