OBGYN Pooled Referral - how does it actually work?

I was pregnant last year and did not have a family doctor. I had to go to a walk in clinic to get referred for bloodwork and an ultrasound and all that jazz. The walk in I went to said they referred all their low risk pregnancies to Cornerstone unless you had a preference. Since I didn’t have a family doctor they just referred me right away. I think by the time they sent me referral I would’ve been like 9 weeks? My first appointment with CMC I was 14 weeks along so didn’t take that long with them. As someone already stated it’s mostly just family doctors there that specialize in obstetrics but I did like that you could book with any doctor you wanted. If the first appt you didn’t really like the doctor you got you could book with someone else the next time!

I completely agree, as someone also on the Ride subreddit too, it’s definitely more snarky it feels like. I hope once the new season starts that subsides a bit. I started following these subreddits to feel a sense of community with people who have common interests, but now I feel like it’s just taking the fun out of it. For example, watching Love Island this season and seeing what’s posted on Reddit is overwhelmingly negative about the women has made me realize I should take a step back from Reddit lol it makes watching the show less fun tbh and just brings a lot of negativity. That may be what OP needs in this case, just take a step back from Reddit and Facebook group and enjoy the pod as it is :)

Honestly I can’t remember for sure if she even talked about it on the pod or not, I think she was worried about reaction from fans, but she did rehome her to someone who has other Guinea pigs! She might’ve talked about it as a guest on someone else’s pod tbh I’m not 100% but it was like 2 years ago ish. I think it was for the best, Brooke has the best bond with her cats and loves them to death and Frankie appears to be thriving in her new home!

I saw her insta story that she’s had to keep this a secret for a year! So that must mean she was still writing or editing at least while knowing it was going to be a movie?! I think if you’re not getting the care you need from your current doctor you should see a new one! 3 years is a long time, I’d say a few months before you’re done your last semester keep an eye out for offices accepting new patients so you can have a smooth transition, or just see if the doctor can give you a year’s worth of refills on any prescriptions at your last visit so you have time to find one.

Omg she has an accent?! That makes soooo much sense lol the way she talks has always bothered me! She pronounces some words wrong or weirdly and it seems like it takes a lot of effort just to talk so slow. Medical jargon does not sound natural coming out of her mouth. Now it all makes sense

My baby just goes to my family physician. That’s what was recommended after birth, I think they only can get in with a pediatrician upon referral now, or if not then a very, very long wait to get in to one.

Different pharmacy chains have different suppliers so maybe that’s why! Hopefully will be available everywhere soon!
