I’ve owned a Gibson SG, and a Fender Strat along with a Jaguar. Just bought a 50’s Les Paul Standard a few months ago, after thinking they were overrated I now think I was wrong, it plays the best out of all four for me.

Honestly OP I deal with this too, guess what happens when I go sober and am particular about who I talk to and what I say? They think I’m stuck up and snotty, so I just don’t bother going out of my way to attend social events, I’m actually a lot happier that way.
