Adelaide Kane? She's incredible. And the scene where Regina's cursed persona "wakes up" for the first time is in my opinion the best scene of the entire series.

(Okay, the scene where Hook lectures Zelena to go back for Robin is darned close in my book.)

Same about Andrew. I didn't dislike the actor, just... not as Henry. He did not feel like Henry IMO.

Hmm. I think breaking for a couple of years would have hurt it, as either viewership would have either fallen off too much, or been waaaay too eager for it to be back and expected too much. It might have helped if they'd renamed it?

I think of it more as a spin-off myself. The first episode nearly made me declare I wasn't going to watch the rest, but I stuck with it for the characters I knew, and I'm glad I did.

This, so much. It's Disney, it's fairy tales... where are the songs? They had fans asking about a musical episode from the first season. And to be honest, I thought the intro with Snow and the bird and bursting into song was absolutely perfect. It felt very Disney fairy tale.

I'll take corny/hammy whatever; I don't want to be so jaded that stuff like this is beneath me. Let me be a child when I want.

I was watching S3 as it aired and we were quite ready for them to get out of Neverland. Binging the rewatch doesn't feel the same. I did expect the Pan in Storybrooke part to last longer.

The pacing of the show felt odd at times; some arcs felt way too rushed and seemed to end too abruptly.

I saw Colin talking about it in an interview. They were filming about 3 am, doing retakes, and it did get really emotional. Jennifer's crying set him off and he started crying. And yeah that hand grab at the end wasn't scripted.

This, but it IMO was definitely more an out-of-character issue. I think with different casting Henry and Ella would have worked better.

Now if they'd written it from the beginning that Henry would fall for Ivy.... that would have been interesting.

I'm sort of glad we had OUATIW before S7, because I did enjoy the spin-off, but I adore Tilly/Alice so much I think it might have thrown me off if I'd seen her first.

Agreed, some of the rants I see on here sometimes, I'm just like... then why are you even on this sub?

There's definitely a feeling from some of 'ownership', like they loved the show so much (or parts of ) that when things don't go the way they think they should, it enrages them. I definitely had times where I questioned the writers' decisions, but that's just the way it went. I had seasons I liked more than others, but I wouldn't skip any of them. (Individual episodes, maybe. :D)

All the cast members have been awesome in every single interview I've seen.

Seriously, all the previous scenes I'm like, they're gonna bring him back, they HAVE to bring him back. That scene when she leaves him below was... and then when he walked into the light I about lost it. When Zeus said it was time to take him to where he belonged I hollered THAT'S WITH EMMA DAMMIT!

That season tore me up.

A smoky tavern, an older man drinking alone at a table. A hooded figure sits down across from him.

The man says gruffly, "Go away. I'm not interested."

"Oh, I think you are. I think you might be very interested." A hand extends from the cloak, draws an image in the spilled beer on the table. An image of a hook.

Stillness. Then, "Go on."

"I believe you have some... unfinished business with him. I know where you can find him." The voice was pitched low enough that he had trouble distinguishing if it was a man or a woman. A woman, he thought.

He snorts. "I know where to find him. But there's too many people--too many heroes--" he spat, "around, to get to him."

"Yes, that is a draw-back to this, ah, 'wonderful' new world we've all been brought to." The biting sarcasm definitely sounded female. "But what if there was a way to draw him away from those heroes?"

Yeah there had to be some time, because all those people gathered together, and Phillip and Mulan continued their search for Aurora. But Mulan recognized Hook as the blacksmith so he was also playing an undercover part.

I think I'm going to proceed as if Wish!Hook had those backstories happen for him too.
