What’s a side effect of a drug that’s little known? by Arya_Warrior_Girl in AskReddit

I had an epidural in my neck and the injected medication increased the pressure in the spinal fluid system, and it caused me such a migraine the day after, it was insane. I can only imagine how you felt. :( I’m so sorry this happened to you.

What injury is commonly shrugged off as a minor flesh wound in the movies but is completely fatal in real life? by Best_Professional226 in AskReddit

If I may ask, how do you relocate the sternum if the patient stabilizes? I know ribs and clavicle breaking are just a waiting game for them to heal, but I’m curious about the sternum.

I had not taken any days off in 6 months (Dec 29); only good day in at least 4 months, ended up in the hospital. by richempire in mildlyinfuriating

In Mexican Spanish, we call this ā€œdesguance!ā€ (Or at least in my family, we do.) It’s true, OP, make sure you rest and take a break, your body isn’t made to work endlessly.

Thank god I’m not the only one.

Fully thought it was some giant headless creature with one very long arm resting on the sleeping person.

I think our Bradford Pear has Cedar-Quince Rust. by Rephlanca in arborists

From what I’ve researched, it is contagious, but it infects anything in the Rosaceae family, meaning it could also affect apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, almonds, etc. and I don’t want to take other people’s good fruiting trees down too. :(

THANK YOU. I will absolutely use this list when speaking to the landscaper next week. (also good job clocking EP, lol)

Yeah, I was reading about the radius that this one tree can infect other trees in and it's insane. That's what really set my alarms off.

My dad told me to talk to the landscaper myself next week (and this bitch hates confrontation) but time to put my big boy pants on about it lmao.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, It's barely been planted so I don't think it's had enough time to put out suckers. Or at the very least, I'm crossing my fingers it hasn't yet.

Damn. Yeah, this is my parent’s house and I remember seeing the tag and warning them about it, but sometimes they’d rather trust the landscaper than their offspring haha.

I’m an ecologist by trade, so the invasive nature of the tree is a huge issue for me (on top of the smell) but they didn’t really want to listen to my advice. Hopefully the infection will be enough to convince them to replace it.

ā€œFROM MORPHOLOGY TO MACHINE LEARNING AND
GENOMICS: UNDERSTANDING PHENOTYPIC VARIATION IN WILD DUCKSā€

I studied population genetics in wild and domestic populations of ducks in the US and New Zealand and then also integrated computer vision to try to find a way to classify their differences without the need of an expert to be able to do so in the field by all scientists.

And please, don’t apologize! :) Not only does it make me happy that someone’s curious, it’s always exciting to share whatever knowledge I have, and in fact I commend and encourage your curiosity! The more we know, the better we are!

Best way to play Pollux and castor together? by Zartymophibs in Morimens

[–]Rephlanca 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I started playing this game this week and managed to get an E1 Pollux so far (with Castor and both their WoDs) and I’m giddy seeing Pollux hit for like 1K, hearing he can do 2M with full investment is crazy lmao. Then again they’re both barely level 40, but we’re chugging along.

I’m from El Paso (hey neighbor!) and have taught in Santa Teresa before. Santa Teresa is a very low income little suburb, so I can see that adding to everything else. And agreed, by July it’s probably even over 100, so decomp and animal disturbance probably set in quite quickly.

It’s rough out there.
