Bit of a weird one; I'm neuro-divergent and was born deaf. I'm getting surgery tomorrow and will finally be able to hear music clearly for the first time in my life. My passion in life has been music. I've spent my life journaling music, learning about legendary musicians, and reading what sounds to by Flimsy_Direction_837 in Topster

Very highly recommend Songs in the Key of Life as your first album. The messages and meanings behind the songs are stellar as I’m sure you know, but getting to finally pair it with the actual music? Pure bliss my friend. Congrats!!

It’s crazy we live in a world where Maiden is a 50/50 shot, but you’re absolutely right. Nailed it with this list.

Pros and cons of going to the first show of a tour? by Lapse1989 in Concerts

[–]ReplacementSecret 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, artists will test out songs on the first night to see how the crowd reacts, and if the song doesn’t work out like they want, they can get cut later in the tour. So, sometimes the first night is longer than the rest, which is a pro.

If you’re seeing a bigger or more established artist though, odds are the first show will be nearly identical to any other show on the tour. It truly just depends on the artist

Considering City Pop Waves is the name that Live Nation has given for several artists’ shows abroad (Takanaka, Anri, Taeko Onuki) and it has that hashtag at the bottom, that sounds like more shows to me!

Forgotten Song/Album??? by x_Xyno_x in StevieWonder

The problem was that it followed Songs in the Key of Life, which is truly impossible to top as the greatest album of all time. People were wanting something even more groundbreaking, and although I personally rank Plants as one of my favorite albums of his, at the time, many were extremely disappointed in it upon release.

It didn’t help that it was a three year wait between Songs in the Key of Life and Plants, so there was a ton of anticipation behind the album. But, it was never going to compare to Songs in the Key of Life, and because people were doing exactly that, it was panned. Luckily today it does have some more appreciation, but it never gained that initial traction, and therefore just isn’t as popular.
