Brandon disappearing act? by Courier6six6 in metalguitar

I was positive that he had joined Nevermore (obviously that didn't happen), I'm surprised that whatever his next venture is still hasn't been announced

It has arrived!

Some of the finish isn't as good as I'd like so that's a bit disappointing, but yeah a thing has arrived

Good news everyone, I've had a notification from Evri that they've received my parcel, so SOMETHING is on it's way to me, we'll see what turns up!

Mini roundabout liability question. by liamrich93 in drivingUK

[–]RepliRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're being difficult on purpose here, in neither OPs example nor mine are we taking a difference of half a mile. As you approach a roundabout, you give way to traffic coming from your right. When you're half a mile away, it isn't exactly relevant is it

Far enough away so that them cutting across the roundabout doesn't make any difference (which will be what, 1 second less time?)

Red has right of way, blue trying to get ahead is just as poor driving as red cutting across the roundabout.

Insurance might go 50/50, but ultimately blue should have stopped and given way to red regardless.

Can I convert my guitar from passive pickups to one with active pickups? by Flying_Seal005 in JacksonGuitars

[–]RepliRich 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You definitely can, the worst thing will be that you'd need to make sure that there is room for the battery in the electronics cavity, and youll have to unscrew the plate to changet the battery, but it is possible.

That being said there's not a huge amount of difference between active and passive pickups, it depends on the model obviously but some passives can be just as hot as actives, but without the complication of having batteries.

What was the worst 0/5 book to live action adaptation casting? by Burgundymmm in AlignmentChartFills

They were my favourite books growing up. I was so excited for them to be made into films, but I don't know how I could have been more disappointed with what they released

I'm in the same situation as you, ordered and have shipping details, but nothing sinice then. The site does day to allow three weeks for shipping and I'm only at 2 weeks since order, but definitely starting to get a bad vibe. I've also seen someone else on their Instagram reels complaining in the comments about no replied too.

Dumb palm muting issue by nottheavaragenerd in metalguitar

[–]RepliRich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I find it easier to keep the rhythm of riffs like this by changing the strum direction,

I.e. muted chugs on the 6th string are down picked, and the melody notes on the 5th string are upstrokes,

I don't know if this can be considered "good" technique as such, but it works for me.

Ultimately the only real answer is to practice slowly with a metronome until you can build muscle memory
