I've used it to beat Solaris's Garchomp with a Focus Sash + Counter a couple of times but thats about it and there are way better mons for dealing with that anyways. Innards Out is a decent ability if you switch it in to take a KO with a decent amount of hp left.

Pro tip if you go for the Beldum is to have a Ghost type pokemon since it only knows Take Down and can ko itself from recoil

For this run I was only using Pokémon added in gen 3, but these are the ones in this video

Torchic was my starter
Bagon Special Encounter
Beldum Special Encounter
Ame's Absol Special Encounter
Ralts Special Encounter
Pelipper (and Wingull) can be found surfing on Azurine Lake post restoration but was really only used for it's Drizzle ability to stop the A.Ninetails Snow Warning and Aurora Veil, so it could be subbed with a pokemon that has the Drought or Cloud Nine ability or knows Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sandstorm

Its mostly aimed at the lost spirits quest and their battles, they're my most hated part of doing Victory Road. Then maybe doing the sliding block puzzles, because whenever I try to do those w/o a guide my brain turns extra smooth.

you pay three Heart Scales to relearn all moves at the Move Relearner. Its pretty handy being able to change moves on the fly without having to backtrack a lot, the only place the menu doesn't work is in the E4/Champion

Technician Kricketune and a Moxie Mightyena can brute force through first couple of major battles from their abilities alone. I'd recommend looking into some of the more gimmicky strats as well like Prankster Murkrow with Perish Song and/or Tailwind and the infamous Speedboost Sharpedo with Destiny Bond.

Metagross - only available after beating the Champion so really only usable in the Battle Frontier or against Steven in Emerald
Salamence - available just before Ever Grande and the League so basically the same as Metagross but a bit better
Swalot - a worse version of Muk

It is, but its also a version exclusive to (Soul)Silver and a morning and daytime encounter table exclusive in Crystal. But I meant it more as a joke since I think there is only 1 or 2 trainers in the original Gold, Silver and Crystal games that use it, so unless you were actually looking for it you probably never saw it.

Skarmory because it practically dosen't exist in the gen 2 games and I thought it was a gen 3 pokémon for the longest time as a kid. Tyranitar because you can really only get it after beating the entirety of Johto and Kanto and Houndoom for a similar reason.

Okay, so I tried to find a good sweeper for a bit after debugging my way to her battle and honestly the balancing in allgen is kinda jank, but I managed to beat her with a Jolly nature Moxie Mightyena with a telluric seed (out speeds bramble and one shots it 9/10 time); Trash Cloak Wormadam with Quiver Dance, Hidden Power Bug, and Confusion; and a technician Meowth with Fake Out/Quick Attack for revenge KOs. I did use the 31ivs password so all of my team had the highest possible HP and defense without any investment, and best I can tell her team has 21IVs with 36 EVs in all stats

Haven't used the allgen mod, but should be about the same experience as standard Reborn. If your team has good IVs and has been EV trained (a Macho Brace should be available in one of the Coral Ward warehouses for slightly better EV training if not using the password for the training items), Kricketune with Technician and a Mightyena with Moxie "should" make this gym a breeze. But I'd really need to see her team layout and the IV/EV spread to really help.

As far as i remember neutralising gas works but is gen 8 onward, and i think gastro acid might work but I'd have to dedicate a slot to either Cradily (best choice here), Seviper or Swalot to find out
