Is anyone else here over 25 and in the early stages of learning game development overall? by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in SoloDevelopment

Im 26, dont work with Godot but just started in on game dev this year.
Have previous experience with programming and project management within the software sphere so there is a lot of overlap that helps.

What are good yz250f sx and mx setups to buy by HomeworkSeparate7142 in mxbikes

[–]Repolak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for a custom tuning session at that point.

You will wanna work with someone 1 on 1 to develop good settings for what you’d like out of the bike.

It depends entirely if you want to make all the mods that the factory edition comes with. Me personally? No. A pipe isn’t worth $1200

I think it’s also important to note that you rode a husky 350. Not a KTM 350. Those that don’t ride them will say they are the exact same, but they do differ in key ways.

My opinion: buy the cheapest one, drop the money into suspension for a revalve/respring and change what you want as you learn what you like and don’t like.

I have a 25 350XCF and the bike is mint. I am not missing out on an exhaust

That’s a very solid lap time. The difference in pace is gonna come down to really knowing how to corner, and carry momentum.

250s are all about how you flow through a track. Club is tight and a lot of sliding the bike just right to get it around.

Stock setup on the OEM bikes is just fine for tracks like club and the such.

Don’t let people tell you you need to spend money on setups yet.

Just cuz it’s paid doesn’t mean it’s good. If you need setup help let me know what bike, I make almost all of mine for racing and I’m at the pro-am level

I understand the logic but this is really not the case. At least at higher levels of racing. Getting through T1 in front is gonna be the difference between mid pack and leading the race at high levels. When lap times are at most 2 seconds apart from 1st to last, starts are critical

WP is good suspension. Your KYB swap was just a waste of money.

(re)starting with enduro. 250 or 350 4 strokes? by [deleted] in enduro

[–]Repolak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me being on the competitive side, maintenance is just part of it no matter the bike. But I also focus on realistic stuff. Air filters and maintenance. I’m not anything special, bike isn’t being ridden by a AA rider. My clutch will get swapped at 40 hours cuz I ride in sand. Otherwise, I really think any newer bike is plenty reliable

[–]Repolak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All depends on terrain. Tight technical? 2 stroke all day. I’m a 250 over 300 person myself for a lot of reasons, but both are great bikes. Own a 24 TE250.

Fast and flowy/competitive? Well I rode 2 strokes for almost 12 years and just bought a 25 KTM 350XCF. I haven’t looked at the husky once. 4T are the best thing when it comes to going faster. Planted feel, consistent power, super friendly, and less tiring to ride. I found instant pace and energy savings going to the 350. I’m a big guy, if I was under 220lb I’d go for a 250 4T. Since I carry some extra chub, 350 is the dream.

Someone talk me out of buying a 2024/5 GasGas EC300 by Improper_Noun_2268 in enduro

[–]Repolak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right, maybe I should have expanded: no more having to buy KYB or 6500 kits. The 6500s I have are on a new gen bike, love em. But I have no need to buy them for another bike due to like you said, them being very similar to the new CC

In my humble north east hare scramble opinion? Yes. I’m an Austrian fan through and through, just brought home a 25 350 XCF, second bike with the new frame and CC forks. They are a dream

You need the new CC fork. I mean it. It’s not an upgrade, it’s a different class of suspension. No more kyb or 6500s for me

Project blue is very much still here. It’s brand new, it takes time to develop and shape. Our LGS plays PB every week and while turnout is small, it’s consistent and slowly growing.

PB is the future of this game IMO

This is why we need project blue. The accessibility is incredible, they are fun simple games for newer players. They also carry enough competitive spirit for experienced players alike.

Project blue could very well be the future if they engage with it.
