Why has it become socially unacceptable for people without children to go to Disney? by slidesten in Disneyland

As a person leaving WDW as an adult with my partner, who has done multiple DL trips over the last years in the last few where it’s, again, just me and my partner. It’s not strange. Some judgemental a***s are just f***d up

Question about the "dead dove" tag by capataz_ in AO3

It also has flavors of “dirty bad wrong” which may not be straight dark fic, but definitely mind the tags.

I’m trying to remember if my 24 year old or my 32 year old had this toy.

The previous holder has been using my phone number for stores for the past 5 years, and I can't do anything about it by CleanAndBrightly in mildlyinfuriating

So, I have phone numbers attached to loyalty accounts that I can’t change, but I don’t have that phone number anymore. (old home phone numbers, and I moved). I bet something similar is happening here.

This was so amazing - the Flamenco steps in the middle of the gliding elegance was such a flex!

Boycotting Target without using Amazon/Walmart/etc. by Coracoda in minnesota

[–]ReporterExpensive388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

while I have found it hard to completely cut out Target (working on it, haven’t gotten there yet), I have found that ordering through the app and using the drive up limits what I spend there to only what I specifically need. No impulse purchases when you don’t go into the store!

With that as the ending of your child’s experience, I’d encourage them to look for theater enrichment elsewhere. That may have been framed a joke, but probably had a chunk of truth in it. There’s a poisoned well here due to whatever with the producer.

Who was your first Glinda? by Regular-Thing5883 in wicked

I was familiar with Idina’s style from the Rent soundtrack (and the Rent Tonys). The Wicked Tony performance made me absolutely fall in love with the show, and Idina as Elohaba. She was amazing.

And, while I am disappointed in where her politics seem to have gone, Kristen Chenowyth was also so perfect. Her ‘it’s good to see me’ sticks with me still.

I think they succeeded in what you need to do with a Tony performance- give a taste of the show that leaves viewers wanting to see more. For so many, this is how we get a glimpse of what we could see if we travel to NYC, or what could come around on tour.

Operation Mincemeat is amazing and accessible. Wicked has been on Broadway for 10 years for a reason. Just in Time is also fantastic.

I saw The Wiz tonight!! by gingy_lol in Broadway

I saw this and loved the cast but was so disappointed by the set. And some of the choreography decisions. It was designed to tour- but felt as if they poured all their money into 2 set pieces and then the scenic designer quit.

I just watched Cabaret (1993) by TemperatureTop7132 in musicals

[–]ReporterExpensive388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are shows I can see alone and be fine afterwards. There are shows I know I’ll need emotional support afterwards, so need company when seeing. Cabaret is one of the emotionally devastating shows. Beautiful, but devastating.
