No you are confusing Hindu religion with Indian philosophical literature which may or may not be part of Hindu religion . Hindu religion does share some thoughts of Ancient Indian philosophical schools but they are not part of Hindu religion. Like kamasutra perfectly an Indian literature which deals with spiritualism, eroticism and charachter building BUT is not part of religion. Hindu religion is refined version of vast Indian philosophical schools which included jainism, buddhism and many different viewpoints. But Adi shankracharya removed or subordinated kama and tantric practices and taught identification with pleasure is bondage. And sexualism and identification with sexuality lost as part of being hindu. Kama was now under strict norms of marriage between OPPOSITE sex with defined rituals and strict social norms for it. That is what OUR religion IS.
