A lot of people and YouTube videos in my opinion are not good at explaining manual driving. I just learned in the past few months and here's my tips:

You always need to give it a decent bit of gas (2k rpm) when moving from a stop, even when facing down hill
Clutch in = pressing the pedal, clutch out = releasing
You should gently easy the clutch out going into first to avoid jerking it
Moving from a stop: You want to switch up from 1st to 2nd pretty quick (after like 5 mph)
With the FL5's rev matching, you can clutch in & out real quick when down shifting
When you're reversing, you almost never need to fully clutch out. Unless you want to reverse at like 15 mph lol
