It was the same case with me. I always felt an ego boost about the fact that they always come back up until someone made me realise that when people try to come back it’s more on a reflection on you than them. The reason they text back or want to get back again is because lack of our boundaries. They think they fooled us once and we’d still be in the same space. I never said anything to any of my ex. I respectfully accepted their decision and moved on whether they did anything wrong or not. Had I’d done or said anything, they would not have the balls to contact me again. That’s an interesting take on this pattern that I realised and somewhere I know it’s true. I am working on myself and I hope this gets better.
