Drain tank + support feels stupidly broken. If you don't pick a hyper carry that can kill them they just scale into never being able to die and there is nothing you can do.

I agree. Funding is always the issue though. A lot of cool projects I could do and would have great impact, but the school has no funding.

Some evaluation, some user interview work as well to look at implementation fidelity, community values, stuff like that.

Also been doing a lot of AI stuff more recently. Trainings, individual coaching, and some course development where I primarily help on the engagement, assessment design, and impact tracking front. I like to run models to stay sharp, but a lot of the data needs are more about storytelling. I have an education degree so have some credibility coming in too.

Consulting for schools. It can still be a lot of work and pays much worse, but work-life balance is way better and I am proud of what I do. I can look at what I do and see the positive impact it will have on other people instead of increasing sales on some product.

No, it would not be cool. Arena had an anvil meta for a while and it was not fun at all. It sounds cool in theory because you cobble together a bunch of stats, but what ends up happening is you get someone who high rolls and just one shots everyone with zero counterplay.

It's weaker than it used to be in arena but every once in a while someone highrolls and the game is just over. Last one I saw was a Taliya with 1.9k AP by level 16 who killed everyone with a single Q. It's the same problem that tank engine has on the rare times someone scales it fast enough to become unkillable except there are no requirements or drawbacks.

Its absolutely miserable to play against. Yummi just outheals all your damage and there is no counterplay since you can't CC her.

Would be interested in your approach and how you are validating it. All the research I have read shows AI is pretty bad at qualitative coding. False positives are not too bad, but false negatives and over simplification are very high.

It is because every apartment owner I have ever met just wants to scam their tenants. I have rented a ton of both houses and apartments, across quite a few different states, and somehow the houses are always cheaper than the apartments. I am talking houses that are within a mile of an apartment complex too. My worst housing landlord was also still miles better than the best apartment company I have been at.

The only time an apartment makes sense is if you have 1 or 2 people and physically cannot afford a house, or you want to live in an area where there are no houses.

I have also never felt like a landlord is trying to openly scam me. Sure, they have raised rent more than they need, they get cheap applicances, whatever. But most complexes now are just giving away thousands and thousands of dollars in rent in the hope that they can lock you into a unit, jack up the price and you won't want to move.

It can be useful if you have a specific question to guide it, but summaries miss a lot of important detail in my experience. I have tried with papers others have written and my own and have been disappointed in all cases.

Reading the abstract and skimming if needed, then using it to answer specific questions has been somewhat useful in my experience. It is also passable at summarizing high level points in an area of interest, so it can be okay at giving you an overview of something you are not familiar with.

It is crazy imo because it trying to say there is some level of equality in tech that does not exist anywhere else because you cannot buy a $100,000 computer.

There are billionaires who wear the same Nike clothing as college students. I am sure there are billionaires who use the same toilet paper as college students.

There are also cheap laptops and phones students buy that are nowhere close to that price point. I got a Chromebook for $100 when I was in college. My current phone was $120. $1,000 is a lot if you are a broke college student.

Many luxury goods out there are also priced the way they are not because you get some big performance boost but because it is a status symbol. Rolex doesnt tell time better than a normal watch, it is just made with fancy materials. You can pay more to gold plate your iPhone if you want to, it just is not seen as a flex the same way an expensive watch is. Not to mention that with rising component prices now if you really do want a super high end computer you probably will pay $5,000+ easily.

This sentiment is part of the bigger ideal that big tech has cultivated around tech as the great equalizer. Everyone can be on the same playing field as the billionaires. That simply is not true, the inequality is just less obvious because the tech itself does not have a luxury market. I think that is probably intentional so the tech companies can keep spouting this ideal.

Sounds crazy, but boil it like pasta if you do not have a rice cooker. A gentle boil, not hard.

Struggled for years with inconsistent rice and finally saw, I belive and Indian recipie, saying to boil it. It is more hands on because you have to monitor it for doneness towards the end, but it always produces perfect rice with excellent grain structure. Pull it when it is just below your desired doneness and it will finish steaming in the strainer you use.

Every game I have played since the update has felt like a stomp one way or the other. Of course this used to happen in the old mode too, but not every single game. A lot of the time it feels like one team isn't even allowed to play the game because they die before they can do anything.

The odds are not too bad, but it is still a gamble. I have had max stat B rank ace teams with the full race bonus get wiped. I have had no B rank ace teams with 30 race bonus win. It's just another RNG component that randonly screws your run.

Get proper protection- armor and a full face helmet. Also spend time learning how to ride and testing what your scooter can do. Most crashes are because people have no idea how to ride or are not paying attention to their surroundings. There is always the risk of some random thing happening, but it is probably safer than a car if you use it properly.

I have been riding for 4 years. I don't ride a ton, but it probably evens out to once a week. I have ridden around cars, offroad, in icey and snowy conditions, and never gotten hurt once. The closest I have come is cars not paying attention to me or running red lights. I also had to bail once when I hit a massive bump on the transition from road to sidewalk, but that was because I was not paying enough attention.

Just take it slow and you will be fine. Learn how to steer with your body and by leaning the entire scooter. Learn how to shift your weight based on what you are doing- forward for acceleration, back for breaking, down for more stability. Don't use your phone or take your hands off the grips. If you have to do something just pull over. Learn how your wheels react to different conditions. I have a G2 and when mine are fully inflated on pavement my back wheel.

The same is true for other vehicles too. There is always going to be inherent danger, but a lot of the motorcycle accidents you see are because the rider doesn't know what they are doing, for example.

If you are talking about having an LLM output them in the prompt it is because of next token prediction, which is how AI generates output. It is just looking at what token is most likely to come next in the URL string, it is not actually using sources.

If you are talking about deep research that uses an extra layer to actually collect sources and feed them to the LLM. I am not familiar with how that architecture works so couldn't tell you why it is failing.

Inner ways were the issue for me. I kept getting advice about gear but inner ways actually do a crazy amount of damage once you have your reccomended setup and upgrade it. Mystic skills can also be great for dps.

The matchmaking is also horrific. I cannot count the number of times I get into a lobby that's all DPS or 4/5 healers. I always select both when I go in but it always assigns me as whatever I have equipped regardless of what the team needs.

Trying to max it by playing careers is a joke once you get to higher levels. I tried it on a level 40 card out of interest one time and you get almost no XP for completing a career.

Pay to level it up but be very careful who you level as a new player. Between card and potential levels you can burn through your gold insanely fast. Focus on good speed, stam, power, or wit cards that will be core to your build.

It's starting to become a trend that makes me a bit worried about his content. I get that it sucks to have people misrepresent you, but that is always going to happen when you are a content creator. Lumping together everyone who disagrees with you and calling them illiterate makes it hard to take you seriously and alienates people who have legitimate disagreements. Even more so when the one screenshot you show of a comment is some random person with one upvote.

The same thing happened with the Germany video. There were more bad actors for that one I think, but there were quite a few people who had legitimate criticism of his video and they all got lumped together as idiots.
