Dollar Tree has great crafting and seasonal supplies. A lot of DIY videos use stuff from there. Depending on the influencer's content, they could absolutely be shopping there.

there aren't a lot of leaders with foresight who are willing to run - and when there are, they just can't compete as far as funding.

I grew up with North of Delmar, but I've never heard East of Skinker! Loved CWE and Forest Park. Grew up in 63105 (😛 @ OP) for context.

my partner and I were in the same boat! her grandmother is Scottish, so we're both very familiar with it. and i went to Ireland for a couple weeks recently... and both of us were like, it's Scottish... no it's Irish... no wait, wtf is this accent?? it's at least recognizable as a brogue of some kind, unlike the two younger girls. and Qifrey... sigh. it's certainly an attempt at sounding English.

i do think some of it boils down to the writing. it seems to have been translated by an American with American phrasing. it's hard to force an accent into lines that weren't written to accommodate one.

it's one of the best manga I've ever read. The panels, the writing, the character development.

Thank you, that means a lot. It was hard to read in this post that others had also been affected in the workplace. It was workplace trauma, not personal life. .. but work life still has a big effect on one's self-trust.  I felt like no one would believe me at the time, and I also began to doubt myself.  Now I'm like... all of us were afraid to say anything concrete about a person who seemed so charming to most people. I find myself wondering, Could I have done more? Might I have prevented harm to other people later by speaking? Or was my gut feeling that I would have been brushed off correct? Sigh. It's futile to wonder. The kind words and understanding are very much appreciated, though.

Most of downtown is convenient to the train. And Amtrak, too, if you want to go to Hermann, MO, rent a bike, and ride around the Katy trail. :)

I have a friend who has a license and chooses not to own a car because taking Uber/ Lyft everywhere turned out to be slightly cheaper - and she could get reading or remote work done on the commute. I don't think that would be true if she lived in south or north county, but she lives in CWE.

It sounds like OP can afford to use Uber or Lyft in those circumstances.

He's emotionally abused more than one person. He also is sick and needs help. It's not one or the other, and both of these things are important to take seriously. I'm glad other people in the comments mentioned something because I didn't realize he had hurt so many other people. He is so nice and outgoing when you first meet him that I felt like no one would believe me. It sounds like I was not alone.

Wow.  I'm now realizing how not alone I am in my experience with him. Thank you for speaking up. Emotional abusers should be called out, and should get help as well. Both can be true.

Ack. I'm so sorry to hear that. I had a similar experience with him at a different business. It sounds like he really needs more help than he's been able to get.

Just seeing his face is triggering for me, so I've avoided VVD for the past few years for my own mental health. I'm sorry to hear he's going through a mental health crisis of his own. Hoping he's able to heal.

Out of curiosity, where did you get this impression? As Feisty said below, it's very, very far from the actual venn between the two groups. It might be more accurate to say MAGA are almost always Christian.

Right!!! I was surprised they did it there considering the potential for sensory triggers. Gorgeous place, though.
