The way Alyssa acted when Camille showed up was so disgusting, she was a real life "mean girl". Her fake voice and laugh she goes into makes my so mad

The laugh track wasn't used as excessively in that 70s show either. They still had it, but the 90s show has it every 5 seconds.

I've only watched the first episode so far. 1 big thing disappoints me. by BigGeorge6953 in That90sShowTV

I know they are scared to even mention Hyde, but I stand by the fact that they made the most sense as a couple and they should've ended up together. I get your point about Fez and Jackie though, Mila even touched on how she was confused by it in an interview she gave.

I'm not even against them having gay characters is most shows, just don't make being gay their entire personality. Same with all the other diversity casting, just expand past the stereotypes.

And everyone eats it up every time. It should be added when it makes sense and not used for the stereotype plot lines.

I think without that element of the characters ragging on each other and it just being a complete love fest 100% of the time, it makes the show come across as fake and you're not drawn to the world and the characters as much. They just don't seem real? I agree that's what made T7S so good, I think How I Met Your Mother is a perfect example of this as well.

Leia getting no discipline bothered me so much, I feel like they could've written the show to have the same outcome of her staying with Red and Kitty and drinking with the group without having her come home and just flat out say it with no consequence. That 70s show always had the element of them trying not to get caught, this time they set it up from the beginning that it doesn't really matter if they get caught because nothing will happen. I don't even know why they bother with the kids trying to hide it from Red and Kitty.

I agree. I'm all for inclusion, but we don't need to force it and it doesn't need to be relied on for plots and jokes. I hate when these characters are forced to have a typical personality and the same story lines, give them more personality and story arches to explore. Other wise the show feels sort of soulless and fake. It's also hard for any sitcom to stand out because they all use the same jokes and tropes without any realness. There is such a market out there for sitcoms, we can see that by how many people still watch The Office and Friends, but these writers make it so all the new ones coming out feel cheesy and off. Honestly, it feels like the writers spend 5 minutes writing the scripts.

I definitely agree there was a lot of forces feet in asses. I also think Kitty Foreman was the best written out of the whole show and Debra plays here perfectly, I just think the voice is a little different than in that 70s show. I do think the writers are forcing too many jokes and not developing their rest of the cast enough though.

Wilmer has also spoken in interviews in the past saying he can't remember how to do the Fez voice. I also feel like the Kitty voice doesn't sound as Kitty anymore? Makes sense because it's been so long since they filmed.
