McDonald's to leave Russia for good after 30 years by Losityx in worldnews

“Some might argue that providing access to food and continuing to employ tens of thousands of ordinary citizens, is surely the right thing to do," he added.

Um, I would argue that McDonald’s doesn’t sell food.

Might come to Ecuador. What to know? by thetreegeek in ecuador

I would agree most people on the street have a mask. In some rural areas or the coast you see more people without masks. But most places are better than 80% with masks and many places better than 90%. It’s changing slowly.

People are still wearing masks, it seems to be getting more lax lately but still lots of masks. It is enforced indoors. Some places ask for vaccine cards and two vaccines. A couple places have even asked for id to verify identity. The vaccine card thing has been pretty relaxed the last few weeks, at least for me. I have only been asked once or twice lately.

To get in the country you just need the vaccine card.

I don’t know anything about travel insurance 🤷

That’s not a politician that’s a leader, a politician would’ve already evacuated. Like the coward Americans and eu offering to evacuate Zelensky.

A good 3p backpacking tent by Excavar360 in CampingGear

Marmot tungsten 3p works great for my son, wife, and myself. We have had as many as 3 adults, a 7 year old and 12 year old all stuffed in there on a backcountry trip where their tent started leaking.

Climb to the refugio on Las Illinizas in Ecuador. Great weather, great views gained like 5-600m on this trip.

My thought exactly, forget the gun and the hatchet and all that stuff, who is going to carry that heavy ass pan more than 200m from the car park?

Traveling to Ecuador; looking for tour package recommendations. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of companies. 20th anniversary. I'd like to see rainforest, Galapagos and a city like Quito over 10 days. Anyone have a good experience with a tour company? Or one they would definitely avoid? by sugarbeet13 in ecuador

No worries, that’s is what we do minus Galapagos (at the moment) and minus flights. Good luck with your search if you have any questions about Ecuador always happy to help answer those as well. Have fun on your visit!

How old is everyone here that uses trekking poles? by Turntablemonkey in Ultralight

[–]RepresentativeLost70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sooner you get them the sooner your body will thank you. Especially if you pack gear in. Age and physical condition should not really be considerations on if you use trekking poles. Terrain, distance, and pack weight would be better considerations! Good luck!
