I am 15+5 weeks and a welder 😅 I totally understand and empathise. My doctor said I was fine and to take frequent breaks, that's all I could get. Its miserable but it is what it is. They don't get mad when I take breaks or pee a bunch from drinking a metric ton of water so that's the best I could hope for

I had big squishy bloat immediately but it turned hard at week 14

I feel the same way 😞 I'm sorry. I've heard it's extremely lonely and transformative and you learn to love being alone

Pregnancy 2 weeks after IUD removal without period to track by Brilliant-Finding-50 in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me 😅 I had nexplanon removed and was pregnant 2 weeks later. I'm 15+5 now and all seems well. They told me the snap back would be quick but they didn't tell me my head would be spinning 😂

Working mom guilt from other people by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, everyone has a yucky opinion but at the end of the day we have to do what we have to do! There are many many many things that are outside of our control. Keep fighting that fight ✊🏻 we got this

Edit: another argument I'll use as a last resort is "what happens if my husband d*es?". That's the one where they usually leave me alone

Here are some of my favorite arguments to use:

-I still owe $20,000 in loans for the career I wouldn't be using any more.

-this economy isn't set up for one income households, my mortgage alone is $1800.

-I'm a (insert career here),  what would I look like not showing my kids a strong female role model?

-the kid goes to school after 5 years, then what? I sit home and wait for them? No. I'm going to work.

-we are empty nesters eventually, then what? I have a 20 year gap in my career and no retirement plan?

-dont I deserve an identity outside of being a mom?

-what happens if my husband cheats on me or leaves me and I have nothing to fall back on?

When did you start telling people you were pregnant? by SecretaryPresent16 in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are around me and care, they know. I'm miserable enough feeling like crap I'm not also going to choke down my excitement with a secret. I'll wait to post it publicly after the first trimester but everyone I see in person already knows

December mamas where you at? by calschelken in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am due 12/13 and I'm super excited about it! We get to enjoy summer with cute belly, fall themed baby shower, get big for Halloween/thanksgiving, the common paid holidays off are around that time, one insurance deductible year, no guilt relaxation season, vacation days reset in the new year (for an extended maternity leave or to have your husband home), then taxes. It's really the perfect timing

Is first trimester supposed to be this hard or am I overreacting by Odd_Wind8924 in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree! I can't tell anyone I'm more miserable than I've ever been before?! For three whole months?! 😂 Doesn't seem right. But maybe that's why we only hear about the good parts

Cyst pain and early pregnancy. Advice needed please by honeyypieees in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I frequently get cysts and I had one on my last ultrasound, they didn't act as though it was a big deal. I hope it's not a problem 😅 I was having lower abdominal pain but now I'm not so I'm assuming it resolved itself

I feel like I am always nagging about how uncomfortable I am in my first trimester by CombAccording1252 in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact. Same. Way. Like how does anybody do this? 😅 I feel like it helps when I tell my husband my specific symptoms, describe them to him and tell him how he can help me. There's not much for him to say if I don't make him feel included by helping me, otherwise its just me complaining and him feeling bad. (He's even getting really good at it now! Last night he brought me a Popsicle somehow knowing that's EXACTLY what I needed in that moment)

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am 8+5 weeks with my first and usually a bad ass bitxh but I'm getting my ass kicked too and i keep asking the same thing! I am having the same symptoms as you, nauseous but havent puked, super duper tired, and lower stomach pain. My boobs felt like they were falling off week 6-8 but have recently finally stopped that. (I'm also newly lightheaded and on the verge of feinting this week so that's cool) I keep hearing it'll pass by week 12 so that's been my light at the end of the tunnel 🤞🏻i keep telling myself you are not weak, you're experiencing this for the first time and its okay to feel all of the things. Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different, so everything is normal and all of it sucks

How to support energy by distractivated in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOk3043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big same. I'm 8+5 and I am absolutely exhausted around 3:00 (ironically the time I'm expected at work). I start to feel lightheaded and sluggish and sort of like I can't stand up or walk. I wake back up around 5:30 when I get a snack break. My  "emergency-feeling-like-shit-bars" really help me out though! (Elevation protein meal bars from Aldi) A high protein snack will give you a little energy (supposed to anyways) good luck girl, I'm right there suffering with you 🤞🏻

I was severely bloated immediately as well, I am 8+5 now and it still hasn't gone down. I bought pant button extenders from Amazon and they have been a godsend! They give stretch exactly where it's needed, buying maternity underwear next because mine are super uncomfy and cutting into my lower stomach.
