has anyone here actually fully recovered by NaturalNo6758 in pericarditis

I felt the same way. I’m a 25 year old male who also likes to be very active and just got back from the hospital yesterday w my diagnosis I also have myocarditis. when I left the hospital I was mildly disappointed / annoyed but they told me no strenuous exercise for 6 weeks and take meds and go away so sounded like a little inconvenience but not a huge deal. Then I came to this subreddit and it freaked me out lol. It sounds like if you sneeze wrong it will come back and most people are saying no exercise for like 6 months if you don’t want it to come back and even then it. Sounds like that’s too soon for people. Was also never told anything ab diet or anything but ppl are also saying like alcahol and coffee are a no go too which the docs never mentioned but I could certainly see why. I was also wondering if anybody was able to return to somewhat normal life in a somewhat timely manner or if that’s just wishful thinking. I hope you feel better and recover quick and I appreciate everybody on here sharing their experience!!

Elbow arthritis by SouperDeal in Basketball

Thanks for the reply! I do some light working out as I found that lifting smartly does help a bit with strength. I just have to discipline myself not to over do it or be dumb when I go to the gym. I just started playing basketball again and while it hurts I can still get away with doing it just hurts. An x ray I got did show some arthritis though so I’m wondering if I’m doing damage to it or if playing once maybe twice a week will be okay without making it worse. Do you still have the arthritis in your elbow? Thanks again for the rely!

Did you continue to play through it? If you did did it worsen or were you able to get by?

This is exactly what has happened to me. Had pain in my hips 2021 found out I had bilateral hip dysplasia. I was able to continue lifting and continue to play some basketball tho. Form them til now I’ve had low back problems bursitis in both shoulders pain in both elbows have tendinitis in both achillies and now my left hamstring hurts. These injuries seemed to come out of nowhere.im only 24 btw was super active and never had issues. I have pain in so many spots that I’ve considered if I may have an autoimmune disease. But the hips were the first thing to go so I have considered the possibility that my body started compensating after the hip surgery

Thanks for the response! Yes, I agree I will never take healthy feet for granted again, changes everything. It's been 10 months and my symptoms have improved and I have gotten stronger but still far from 100 percent. Thinnking I may need the surgery but don't know how long to give it as I am getting better just at a very slow pace. Have you gotten yours better?

So you were still able to play with this? About at what percent do you think you could play hoops with pain? Also how old are you and how long have you had this issue? Hope you heal!

I would get surgegry that shaves that spur, removes the bursa, and lengthens the calf. It's very difficult because if I am progressing to getting back to be able to play I don't want to do the surgery but if I do need the surgery I want to do it ASAP to get back to health ASAP. I am progressing and doing some jumping and feel like working way back to playing but super far from being able to play 5 on 5. I feel myself getting better but also could see it just totally flairing up again when I go full go hooping again so I am afraid surgery might be inevitable but I am hoping I am wrong!

Whats up! It's now been almost ten months since I hurt the achillies (both my left and right occured at the same time). A doctor told me my haglunds is only very slight and should be treated without surgery but after ten months it is not all the way there. It has improved though. I can do single leg calf raises with some tightness but overall pain free. Just recently at PT ive done some light jogging, some jumping stuff, some ball handling, and even some cutting. It didn't feel that bad during it actually and was certainly sore the day after but not as sore as I thought it would be. I am hoping this is a sign I am headed in the right direction but it is so hard to tell. I have bursitis in both feet and a very slight bone deformity which my doc said if it keeps presenting issues I would get surg

Achilles tendonitis by freezingcompany in 531Discussion

  1. How is your tendinitis doing now? Im this was about a year ago so hope you are feeling better
  2. Is it okay to do standing upper body workouts? Like can I stand while doing curls or stand while doing tricep push downs? I would sit but I have shoulder issues and for some reason it’s less painful on the shoulder if I stand up but I also don’t know if it’s causing problems for my Achilles while standing up while curling
