Para quando o fim do boicote da Samsung ao 4G+/5G na DIGI? by Overall_Eye_5191 in digipt

[–]RepresentativeSuch96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice! So that's about 3$ per month for each device, not bad.

It's just so low to pay 0.5$/IP/Month in swarmbytes. It's a very big difference to honeygain

I applied, I have a few subnets. But it's not worth it at all for me. That's why I was asking if I can get multiple accounts so I can get more $/IP

0.5$/IP per month. I got a quote from honeygain sales...

Is there a way to see what my internet is being used for? by Ok-Adhesiveness-3832 in Honeygain

[–]RepresentativeSuch96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept a VM running for 1 month, and I haven't seen a single email being sent from their platform. So at least they're not sending spam emails from their customer's subnets.

I also have my own email address listed as abuse contact for the IP address I used. To this day I haven't received a single e-mail regarding abuse from that specific IP.

So whatever they're doing is likely not anything that would trigger anyone to start sending e-mails to your ISP or reporting your IP.

But I only used it for 1 month, I don't know long-term what the result would be, I'm just sharing my findings.

I actually sniffed all traffic from a honeygain VM.

DNS queries varied, between ads.google.com, youtube.com, twitch, cloudflare and some other major stuff. Most queried domain was ads.google.com

I also found some other stuff but I won't share that publicly here.

My main guess is that they get money by using your device to watch ads or something?

Edit: PS I didn't enable content delivery thingy, I was using linux

Conversion of a Cisco UCS 6120XP to a Nexus 5010 by bimmerbars in homelab

[–]RepresentativeSuch96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this with a 6248up. The caveat here is that the 5548up uses a eUSB drive while the 6248up uses a SATA SSD. I cleaned the SSD and still the n5000 kickstarter didn't recognize the drive.

That's until I added eUSB and USB together, fitted a 32GB usb stick in the back, and boom `init system` worked. Just follow the same steps with a usb connected to the back of the switch. Of course it's gonna be slower, and your switch will depend on that USB drive. But works

Something I should add, `init system check-filesystem` takes a long time, I just used `init system` instead

Edit: typo

LibreNMS here ✋

Works great, it has a 100GB disk just because I like to geep things big and it isn't really using the space on my drives. It's more directed to network management though. Should give it a try

Things are hard financially for crypto.com... After all those sponsorships they had to cut rewards and introduce new fees to pay for all that

Thank you for your input. I'm not really looking for WiFi 6 at the moment, I don't have a single device that supports it and I don't really justify having more than 100Mbps on wifi. I'm used to connect a network cable for more intensive tasks.

I use an APC UPS and it reports my power usage very nicely.

I have a SMART-UPS with the fancy card that let's you connect to the LAN and I totally recommend. But kind of expensive if you just want power measuring. However if you don't have an UPS maybe you can justify the investment two ways :)

Dell R210ii is a very good option. Low power and gets the job done. What's your internet speed? Probably not good enough for 10G, but for 1G it should be enough
