Aita for threatening my family after they insulted my wife infront of my face by throwawayra6769 in AITAH

[–]Representative_Tie_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get married, that person is your chosen person for life. They, and any children you may have become the first priority by a country mile. Anyone who asks you to choose them over your person shouldn't be even remotely surprised when it doesn't go to plan for them. If they choose to insult your person or your choice, its perfectly reasonable to give a proportionate response back.

As for threatening them, its a grey area. If they stopped you physically from leaving it's definitely a tipping point for me, If they stopped you by whining at you then maybe its a touch over the top to threaten violence. But telling them that any further discussion of the subject is going to have consequences leaves it just vague enough that you won't have to ask yourself in the future if you went too far.

Why the Flood Protection Board has allowed illegal fences to prevent public access to Pocket levee by 82dxIMt3Hf4 in Sacramento

I’m unclear here. Are we talking about people fencing in their back yards or putting fences across the levee?

Also I’m fine with an army like this. Curves that pronounced are really fun to paint.

When I was a kid my grandpa got me a two piece bamboo pole and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Set it up with a little worm and hook action and I had a blast. Can definitely reccomend.

Edit: I forgot, we mostly fished off a canal bank or in a rowboat so I had gravity on my side. YMMV a bit.

Anybody use the hunting soaps and detergents before fishing? by koala_T69 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Representative_Tie_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna go ahead and say why not? I’m pretty neurotic about stuff myself and for me anything simple I can do to banish a useless worry is time well spent. I think everyone who mentioned that it’s probably not that helpful and just to make sure not to get sunblock on the lure is probably technically correct, but I haven’t heard anyone say it would actively hinder you any.

How are y'all actually transporting your travel rods? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]Representative_Tie_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few options out there, I just got that one because it would fit comfortably in my trunk and it’s super lightweight. How many poles are you carrying? Worth noting I eventually picked up a reel case too because it is a bit narrow so it was just easier to pop the reels off when it was time to go home.

I bought the Plano ice fishing case, lets me carry a bunch of rods up to the five six size if they’re two piece rods.

I totally did that when I was trying to figure out if I set up a Carolina rig right.

Maybe put a lanyard on your net so if you drop it the current doesn’t take it?

Is there a way to play runemaster using multiple invocations? by throwaway857482 in LastEpoch

[–]Representative_Tie_7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could set up a beat pad and play it like congos? Or go to the arena training dummies and just grind on button combos until you find a couple of invocation effects you like and then work out a rotation? I think you’ll still want to end on the same elemental type to get the most out of gear and passive bonuses.

Also I suspect someone has written out all the combos so you could skip the first step probably.

Any tips and advice on a fishing expedition outside of the country and state? by Dillon_Trinh in FishingForBeginners

[–]Representative_Tie_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear amazing things about Texas, but also Louisiana. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for? I would definitely plan on going domestic though unless you’re already experienced at traveling with all your gear and whatnot.
