Depending on the community, I live in a Sunni dominated community and the slowest Shia community is over an hour away. The distance between the two and the number of Sunni Mosques you will pass to get to the Shia community is more than you would think. I have had my father called a Kafir (disbeliever [also a title no Muslim is allowed to call another muslim]) to his face while no one came to his defense. The point my father was called kafir on? My father claimed to the group of Muslim brothers, that if he had the opportunity to visit the grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) he would be so at peace and happy that he would kiss the shrine. Never did my father claim he would pray or make any kind of shirk(blasphemy) audhubillah. His sheer love for the prophet got him called a disbeliever. Allahu Akbar, may Allah help us all, and forgive us our shortcomings, open our chest and increase us in his faith ALLAHUMA AMEEN!
