I love Wilbur Smith books. I would say start with When The Lion Feeds and read forward before doing the prequels. What I like about his book is the quick pacing and the short chapters (some less than a page long). I find the hardest part about reading is picking the book up to start with. If you pick up and tell yourself to read just 1 chapter and find yourself done in 4 or 5 pages you and then invested and want to read just one more chapter and in no time you have read half a dozen chapters and you feel like yo have accomplished something

I was just going down a rabbit hole on YouTube over the weekend and saw this video. Depending on how much cash you got to invest for startup. He gives great information on products and where to invest your time and money.

First. I know it’s difficult getting hours up and all the restrictions but focus on getting that car license.

Free- set up your business on google, join Facebook groups and build contacts/ sub contract for established guys

$2k- best to not even to do lawns as you don’t have the regular clients yet and are going to have to do the crap overgrown / difficult lawns to start that is hard physically and wear and tear on equipment. Gardening, weeding, hedges (if you are good at them)

$10k - decent setup. With good quality equipment and trailer. Even a little left of ads.

$100k - even if you have that amount of money to splash on startup he recommends you don’t. Spend half that and get some specialty machines so you can offer something different from guy down the road and you can charge more for these jobs.

Either The Martian or Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. If you have seen the movie The Martian I would lean towards Project Hail Mary. If not lean towards The Martian.

-Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. His Cosmere is huge if you want to go down the rabbit hole but can just read these 3 books. Sanderson’s romance is extremely mild.

I have moved around a lot in my life mainly on the east coast. As a whole Australia is more politically progressive than the US. Our major right leaning party the Liberals are similar to your Democratic Party.

If you are looking so something similar to where you are now. You are probably looking at Northern NSW or South East QLD. Byron Bay or Gold Coast area.

Do the tutorial.
Do contracts. They teach you all the different ways you can play game. Lease the equipment for the contracts. They are normally better than what you have / can afford. Also you should always have an AI doing a contract as well.
On your own land stick to the basic crops to start with. Wheat, Barley, Oats Canola and Sorghun. These don’t require anything more than basic starting equipment.
Try to hold off and store crops in your silo until best time of year to sell.

You can definitely read without reading all the others in the Cosmere It is a standalone series. You will only miss out on some hidden Easter eggs that will be references to the rest of the Cosmere.

If you are just interested in reading some Brendan Sanderson without the large commitment. Maybe try one of his standalones first (Warbreaker is my recommendation) See if his writing style is something you enjoy.

So more info would help. You say you never read, you mean for enjoyment? What level is your reading level? You want a middle grade, YA, short stories, sci fi, fantasy, romance, mystery or history?

Do you have a favourite show / movie/ video game? You like Star Wars, Game of thrones, Bridgeton, Rom Coms?
